This may look like pessimist rant, but I'm still doing this.

Seems like we are doing more harm than good to this planet. Ignoring facts about pollution and letting corporations gather more power each year is going to be huge problem. Empathy is first victim, then everything else - and for what? Few individuals getting insanely rich when majority is suffering - but in long run earth is ruined, because there isn't any mechanism left to stop this suicidal progress.

People should take things seriously and think about next generations too - what kind of world they have when our time is up. If all live saying "don't matter, I'm dead anyway when sh.it happens".. we should hang ourselves already and avoid some suffering xD

My point is: if we (as human race) are ready to sacrifice whole planet for something temporal, how stupid is that?

Look at countries like Brazil or Indonesia, they don't really give a crap because so much of their population is living in poverty.

If you look at Maslow's hierarchy of needs, as it relates to national consciousness, environmentalism isn't even a consideration until all the basic needs are met.

When the choice is between economic growth or saving the rainforest, Third World countries will choose economic growth every time.

It takes a very naive and ignorant liberal mind not to be able to understand this.
