Regarding world implications...I doubt anything would change? Some people believe facts, some people believe non-facts, and the remainder don't care. I'm guessing those who prefer facts are in the minority...hence no change in anything.

Why would anyone lose their minds if life ever existed on Mars? Who would go insane if we discovered life on Mars today? It couldn't do any harm unless they turned out to be Democrats who immediately applied for welfare as soon as we contacted them.

I don't know why don't you ask NASA why they're still adhering to the Brookings Report:
Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs, often referred to as "the Brookings Report," was a 1960 report commissioned by NASA and created by the Brookings Institution in collaboration with NASA's Committee on Long-Range Studies. It was submitted to the House Committee on Science and Astronautics of the United States House of Representatives in the 87th United States Congress on April 18, 1961.[1] It was entered into the Congressional Record and can be found in any library possessing the Congressional Record for that year.
The report has become noted for one short section titled, "The implications of a discovery of extraterrestrial life," which examines the potential implications of such a discovery on public attitudes and values. The section briefly considers possible public reactions to some possible scenarios for the discovery of extraterrestrial life, stressing a need for further research in this area. It recommends continuing studies to determine the likely social impact of such a discovery and its effects on public attitudes, including study of the question of how leadership should handle information about such a discovery and under what circumstances leaders might or might not find it advisable to withhold such information from the public.
While not specifically recommending a cover-up of evidence of extraterrestrial life, Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs does suggest that contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life (or strong evidence of its reality) could have a disruptive effect on human societies. Moreover, it does mention the possibility that leadership might wish to withhold evidence of extraterrestrial life from the public under some conditions.[4]

Easy, ever heard of Photoshop? Any number of youtube goobers could modify the pictures, exactly like yours has been modified from the original.

They addressed this in the Brookings Report that NASA IS STILL ADHERING TOO. Evidently they thought it needed to be addressed.

Do you actually believe a person or government anywhere on Earth, should they make 'contact' with intelligent extraterrestrial life, can keep this a secret for more than one nanosecond? ET's are going to travel many light-years, with their advanced knowledge and technology, and when arriving be told they can't speak with anyone? Just park their spacecraft in the garage and lay low? I don't know if it's on Mars or a billion other places in the Universe, there is zero reason to doubt there are other intelligent life forms...for many it's not 'if' but 'when'...

There are two different you tubers with the same photo just on this forum Post 63 and post 364 .Two different people downloaded this photo independent of one another and have the same images on it. and later when that image is down loaded at a later date the images aren't there any more RINGOTUNA proved NASA is manipulating the photos. With Ringotuna's NASA IMAGE that's 3 and his is a recent download and it's the one that has changed proving the image has been altered.

The original thread was world implications of NASA finding life on Mars which if you look at all the evidence ,they have . so how is that knowledge going to affect religion, politics economics, social behavior etc. Its the trolls on here that couldn't accept the premise and ignored my thread question and started attacking me ,but they know I'm right I proved them wrong at every turn. WINNING !!!!!

No, there is no evidence what so ever that shows life on Mars

You cited youtube as your evidence. That is an automatic fail.

Nonsense. I showed that the image in your youtube video has been altered, quite clumsily, from the original NASA photo. You have claimed that you can PROVE NASA has altered the photo's but have yet to produce that proof.

OMG it's hilarious. The images in 63 and 364 are also different from each other. One of the so called 'transporters' is missing from 63. ROFLMAO it just gets better and better. These youtube goobers really need to coordinate and corroborate better. Still waiting on that proof that NASA altered the images. Is that gonna happen?

There is no evidence of any kind that there has ever been life on Mars. To claim there is makes you look ridiculous.

To everyone reading the ridiculous statement this "PERSON " just made look up all you can on Curiosity and Mars Anomalies see the undeniable evidence of ancient fossils, structures, and the
evidence of underground and above ground activity . Don't believe what these paid trolls are telling you. Make up you own mind.

They are not fossils. In fact there's no claim in either of those movies that either contain fossils. The first is an hour long camera shot of a probe landing and getting off the lander and the second is supposed to be images of a bunch of humans walking around and sunbathing on Mars. Despite them just looking like pixilated images of rocks at 1000 times magnification.

So you haven't even looked at them yourself but are just repeating what someone else said those links contain, or you deliberately posted totally irrelevant videos to waste peoples time because you are trolling. This is why you posted links rather than use the movie function on the board, to waste peoples time.

Sadly I only spent 2 minutes looking at them as you can see whats in a youtube vid by simply running the mouse pointer along the progression bar, spoiling your fun. It took me far longer to type this than to disprove your nonsense. Sorry. Now back to mechwarrior Online

Oh yeah, I did find some images of real martians for you. Enjoy!

You couldn't have watched the first one the opening shot shows almost a complete skeleton of a marine dinosaur . Thy're hundreds of fossils in in that picture and even some pictographs on some of the rocks .I don't know what you watched if you can't see them .and how about the statue did the wind carve that .another dam troll how many of you are on here. That must getting expensive for NASA. How much do they pay you guys .I might be interested, I can switch sides if the price is right.

I grew up on the books of Edgar Rice Burrows and Robert A Heinlein when we thought there was a possibility of life on Mars so the idea is appealing in a way but the reality belies this.

Evidence of higher order beings is missing in the missing IR signatures that life would project

Life on this planet irrevocably changed the atmosphere - there is no evidence of that

Where is the evidence of the support mechanisms surrounding civilisation i.e. agriculture (you can see rice paddies from quite some distance out) Where is the evidence of anything that would indicate life apart from some imagined changes in rocks

Honestly the only way anyone could be fooled by those photos is if they had spent most of their life indoors not looking at real rocks

If someone has not taught you about the usefulness of Occams Razor then it is time you learnt

    http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/General/occam.html

To sustain the theory of intelligent life on Mars one has to invent ever more complex theories - and if we use Occams razor they simply do not stand up

    Feminist or humanoid?
    Good looking or not?

The probability is extremely high that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe but based upon our current understanding of physics the mathmatical probability of actually discovering it is extremely low. Even the SETI program relies on intelligent life evolving millions of years before intelligent life evolved on Earth.

I agree that the search for intelligent life is quite limited...but I'm glad we pursue these endeavors even with our limitations. If intelligent life does exist within 10-15 light years of Earth, which is about 50 solar systems, and if it's remotely possible we can both exist at the same time, then I'm betting new technologies will allow us to discover them within the next 20-30 years. We'll never visit each other unless there are physics we do not yet know about but at least we'll answer the single question 'are we alone'...
