In fairness Trump, Rubio nor Cruz will be the nominee coming out of a brokered convention, just to be clear I am not stupid, but just for the record I am really curious as to what natural born means to you?

Look to me at least, natural born means talking your first breath in the United States or some U.S territory, not in some socialized hospital in Alberta Canada paid for by the Canadian tax payer, if that's acceptable what's to stop someone born in France, Qatar, Iraq or somewhere else from running in the future, according to current logic as long as there's an American born mother invoked it would then be perfectly legal, I don't know about you guys but I think that's a very dangerous and slippery slope that may come back to bite us one day. considering we have thousands and thousands of U.S Born Woman all over the world.

Just wondering what you all, think about this, does that at least give you pause?

Wouldn't know it from the thread title. :p

Doesn't matter. What matters is what it meant circa 1788 - and that isn't anything like as clear as the anti-Cruz birthers make it out to be.

Had the Naturlization Act of 1790 been in effect when Cruz was born, it would have conferred upon him NBC status. Does that give you pause?

Most constitutional scholars would say it is having American citizens parents or a single parent. Although a few disagree. Unless the SCOTUS rules on it there still would be a question. At least two nominees were born outside the United States, Goldwater who was born in the Arizona Territory before it became a state and McCain who was born in Panama whose father was a US Navy Admiral serving in the Canal Zone.

that's an issue between you and yourself, since we are into creepy half quoting

News Flash - there's no such thing as a anti-Cruz birther, Ted Cruz
was born in Alberta Canada that's 100% fact, might as well be Syria or Beirut
when it comes to setting precedent.

So if your son was serving on foreign soil and his pregnant wife went with him and had her child there. By your thinking your grandchild is not American?

His abortion stance is the only thing I actually agree with him on. and it's not death to woman that's BS Hillary talking points, it's protecting the unborn who cannot protect themselves, how do you think you got here? everyone deserves a shot at life just like you did.

Really? I don't remember misusing the word "president", but you sure as hell did.

OK, so you really don't give a damn about the elegitibility clause, or for that matter, anything else in the Constitution; and if Trump shot somebody in Times Square you wouldn't let a minute go by before claiming it was self-defense. Pretty much got that bang on, haven't I?

Please read the first post, a military installation is U.S territory. but if you feel it's OK to be born outside the Country just for kicks and the free health care, remember precedent makes no distinction between Syria, Iraq or Canada for that matter, just something to keep in mindl. thanks.

what's this "elegitibility" OMG say it ant soooo

last time I checked this is the United States of America, isn't someone innocent before proven guilty? or does that only pertain to guys like Ted Cruz?

This is weird, I have no clue what that means, what bang on, not even going to go there.

Just shows ta go ya how close a guy can get with a wild guess. :)

It doesn't apply to anyone claiming elegibility for the Presidency, Brainiac.

    I doubt that.

    Go where?

born outside the country just for kicks?

Just keep in mind that not everyone's world consist of the local corner. There are many reasons Americans will live outside the country then come back. Thank you.

I wouldn't count on it if I were you.

Indeed I do. Now do you get that presumption of innocence doesn't have a damn thing to do with that, Sherlock?

also lets not leave out the 3 to 4000 bucks of free healthcare, off the Canadian Taxpayer
who knows, maybe Ted Cruz will cut Canada a check one day, instead of attacking Canada's socialized healthcare system.

Just remember, you could also make that case for all the U.S born woman over in the middle east as well.
    but thank you for contributing.

Yes, not to mention His mother and father actually lived in Canada years before he was born and many years after, also from what I read the father even took off, forcing them on Canada's version of the welfare system for a while, before moving to the U.S, You'ld figure he would be fighting for those who are down and out and have nothing, instead of cutting their benefits.
