If you were a small business and had an opportunity to work with Donald Trump on a large contract. But if you did not get paid in full, it would destroy your business and leave you broke, and without the contract your business would be doing well, would you bet your business on a contract with Donald Trump?

any business owner that risks his entire company on a single deal, is almost guaranteed to be one of the 90% of small business owners who fail in the first year, its one of the leading reasons why small business owners fail in the first year, all their eggs in one basket... come attend a small business association meeting before starting a business, you'll learn a LOT of things to plan for ahead of time and mistake that most will make because they just went ahead and did things instead of learning first... its not to stop or discourage people from starting a small business, didn't you taking driving lessons before you drove a car? so why do so many not learn about business before opening one? there are many old members like me who are now in the glory days and spend our time helping those looking to avoid the pitfalls, but coming in after you did something stupid like risking your company on a single contract, could have easily been avoided... I've seen folks lose their business before they opened the door...

P.S. but I get it, all you wanted to do was shame and demonize your political foe, you don't really want a realistic and practical example, just a scenario where the only answer is damaging to your enemy...

I only personally know two people who have worked for Trump. One personally worked on a project for Trump for a year. Hears what he said, Trump is in New York and he's in California. Trump is the first CEO he came across in thirty years who would actually call you up on the phone. Where as all other fat rich CEO's would delegate that job to someone else. But the guy is the best in the world in what he does and 12 hour days at $250 per hour for almost a year and he got paid.

The other was a electrical sub contractor on one of Trump's job sites. He said that Trump was a perfectionist. He said you better read the contract closely, study those plans, only use high quality materials and the materials are available that were made in the USA you better use them. Trump demands going beyond the building code where today most contractors in the construction trades only meet the minimum of the codes and cut corners to save a buck. Unacceptable with Trump. Any shoddy workmanship or not fulfilling the contract you aren't getting paid. That's how it works in the real world.

Trump is also a real estate speculator. All speculators are taking a gamble. Some timers you are going to lose.

People claim that Trump manufactures shirts in China. No he doesn't, someone pays Trump a whole lot of money to put Trump's name on those shirts.

I would have our lawyers draw up a very secure contract.

I wouldn't. He has a history of not paying in full.

Then you'd have to sue him to get what he didn't want to pay.....

Yes...... I personally would bet the future of a small business
on an agreement with one of The Donald's many companies.
