Would you ever attend a service in a different sect or religion?

I once read an article in a Jehovahs Witness magazine which stated emphatically that JWs are not
permitted to participate in any way in any ceremony inside another "church"
I thought instantly of weddings, funerals, christenings, baptismals of family members
who were not JWs. Imagine attending the christening of your grandaughter, and not being permitted
to participate.
When I questionned an elder of this strict doctrine, I was told "oh you dont have to accept that if you dont want
to...we arent really that strict..."
I asked ..... why then is this doctrine given such importance in a Watchtower magazine, which is circulated
worldwide.
My answer was a shrug of the shoulders by the elder as she walked away, not wanting to talk to me any further...

In answer to the poll, I would go inside any church to have a bopeep....

But isnt religion confusing....no wonder we have such weird interpretations of this and that.....aaaaah well...
God loves me.....but I never allowed myself to be brainwashed.......

 

Someone once explained the essential difference between oriental and occidental religions Occidental (Christian and Muslim) are exclusive - There is no God but God, etc etc etc

Oriental religions are inclusive - all roads lead to Buddha
