Often when there is a LONG line of cars waiting for an exit, cars will dart down the lane to the left to get to the very front - and someone ALWAYS lets them in.

The last time we flew, the lines to get thru TSA were huge and one of those the longest I've ever seen. I bet if stretched out it was a quarter mile long or VERY close to it.

So... someone comes along saying "excuse me but my plane boards in 10 minutes, can I go ahead of you?" (And ahead of the other 1000+ people in line.) He didn't wait for an answer and just kept going - no one stopping him.

We also were going to miss our plane - absolutely so - only were not trying to cut ahead. Fortunately, some higher up apparently announced to let EVERYONE thru - and about 500 of us didn't have to go thru any TSA checkpoint nor our bags run thru any scanner. We made our flight by my running and shouting out "hold the door!" as they were literally closing it - knowing once the door to the flight ramp is closed no force on earth will get them to reopen it. 2 more seconds and we'd have been laid overnight as it was the last flight of the day.

So, to the line cutter with an excuse, would you say "sure, go ahead" or "no, wait your turn like everyone else?"

Yes because I've been there and some kind souls let me in front and I just caught my plane.

Just because 99% of us are bastards shouldn't hurt the 1%

First, in the long line of cars, the people in the long line are in the wrong. They are turning a two lane road into a one lane road before it's absolutely necessary.

Second, it depends on the situation. If he had a good reason why he needed that, I'd let him in. If he didn't, then no.

No, usually the are blocking 1 or 2 to 3 thru lanes - stopping ALL traffic in the flow thru lane on the right - requiring everyone in that lane to stop or crowd into the middle lane, which is extremely dangerous. Coming to a dead stop or near dead stop in a 60 mph zone because you want to cut into the right lane ahead of people is extremely illegal and dangerous. If you MISS your turn - rather than just stopping in highway you have to go past it and do a U-turn. Not doing so is illegal . Go zero or 5 mph = 55 mph slower than the speed limit on a 60 mph highway with traffic is as dangerous as going 115 miles hour at 55 mph over the speed limit - and probably more traffic. You can not just STOP in highway thru traffic lane. What about just STOPPING in a 60 mph to get something out of the trunk? You ok with that too?

You have no way to know if the person's excuse is true or not.

If it was a guy, no. If it was a girl who acted entitled to move ahead, no. If it was anyone wearing a Bernie or Hillary button or some such, no. If it was a hot chick, probably. That's could sexist, but I know there are plenty of women that would be happy to take advantage of that sort of attitude...
