Obviously those things shouldn't be condoned by the leader of the Catholic Church as Church doctrine prohibits them, but politics is a different matter - church doctrine only affects those who consent to it, politics affects everyone. You cannot coerce your practices onto the public at large. I agree that free contraception is bad (because there's no such thing as free, and the taxpayer is robbed to pay for it), but contraception and abortion are fine.
