    I am wanting to know how many people would watch a tv show based on the entire bible. The show would start with genesis and end with revelations and have everything in between.

    What kind of series? Documentary - probably not. Dramatisation - I'd give it a try at least.

    Sounds like a great idea as long as they do not adulterate it or tone down the violence. It would be rated "R" no doubt.

    It would be a giant waste of time to me.

    The stories in the Bible aren't good enough to make for good TV entertainment. I'd much rather see something about the environment that spawned those beliefs and texts, about their real historical background, than I would some simple dramatisation of the events described therein.

    Well that can be kept to "R" but if they followed it with a Quran series it would be banned for child porn.

    Jesus create man from nothing, but has to create women from a rib and then could not create himself, so had to do it the old fashioned way?

    if it was like LOST I would watch in a heart beat, they included plots from many religions, it was a great show imo, I was disappointed it ended so soon, they could of went on and on

    sure the LOST producers could do a good show using Christianity as the main plot, I would watch it

    This series would be shown in segments, each segment produced as a kind of miniseries. The first segment in the show would be the story of creation and end with the expulsion.

    Big name actors could be used to star in each segment, since they would only appear in a few episodes.

    Jesus could be played by Daniel Day Lewis.

    of course!!! the stories of the bible are very interesting to read actually... even if youre a non-believer. a show would be awesome as long as they dont cheap out on it

    yep, the last season was their worst, still good, but if they had more time I think they could of done better

    I'd watch it. There would be sex, violence, melodrama and characters who are killed off, but then brought back. It would put even the sleaziest soap opera to shame.

    RE OP: why make a show out of an immoral book, when there are so many moral books to make shows out of?
    It might be enlightening, though, to see scenes where Jesus saw SLAVES walking by, or being brutally beaten, and that sick SOB, a self-proclaimed moral teacher for the ages, sits idly by....Jesus ACCEPTED SLAVERY. Does Charles Manson accept slavery as readily as Jesus did...probably not. So Jesus is maybe less moral than Charles Manson.
