    You do know that there isn't a tax on word count here so you can use as many as you like (within reason please) to actually explain you point rather than throwing out a couple of random slogans and leaving us guessing.

    OK, Joe, the Fairtax scheme just can't work! The only projected rate study done for AFFT failed to account for illegal evasion and legal tax avoidance. Because there is no dual reporting under the Fairtax, unbiased economists estimate that evasion would be a minimum of 15%.

    In addition, the Fairtax plan proposes that the federal government tax State and Local government operations. This would be inappropriate if not unconstitutional under our constitutional Republic form of government. We have two sovereign government powers, Federal and State, and sovereign powers do not tax each other.

    Correcting the rate study for these two factors would result in an exclusive tax rate of 67%. We would be looking at a 75% combined Federal and State sales tax, and that just won't work!
