X-ray vision, a comic book fantasy for decades, is becoming a reality in a lab at MIT.

A group of researchers led by Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor Dina Katabi has developed software that uses variations in radio signals to recognize human silhouettes through walls and track their movements.

Researchers say the technology will be able to help health care providers and families keep closer tabs on toddlers and the elderly, and it could be a new strategic tool for law enforcement and the military.

“It’s a sensor that can monitor people and allow you to control devices just by pointing at them,” he said.

Work began in 2012 to determine how wireless signals could be used to “see” what’s happening in another room, said Katabi, who directs the MIT Wireless Center.....snip~

Ha, yeah well I think the images would look like silhouettes of people at best anyway. Still, would be an incredibly useful technology for things like hostage situations, or invading people's privacy but leaving a lot of the details to the imagination. For x-rays you'd block it with lead, I wonder if any material would block this?

Yea, but with this you only get slapped if you get caught. :roflol:

By the way, this technology has been around a while. A lot of police departments have x-ray scanners that can tell where people are inside a building.

I remember reading comic books and seeing the add for X-Ray Glasses and laughing knowing it was a scam!! LOL!!

I had a female neighbor down the street from my home when I was growing up and as I lived in a rural area her home was just one of a very few homes on my very long street.

She was 1 year younger than I and my buddy and I would sneak into her back yard and she lived on the 2nd floor right back side of her house and she had no blinds and she always had her curtains open.

We were just kids but she was fully developed at an early age and way ahead of us boys sexually.

We used to think we were getting away seeing her undress until I dated her in High School and she told me she KNEW I and my buddy were watching her.

I asked how she knew and she said...."Are you kidding!!!???"

"If it was warm out and I had my window open the moment I took off my bra I could hear you two going...."AWWWW!!!" LOL!!

Guess we really were not getting away with anything.

But THINKING we were getting away with it was just as exciting as seeing her nude! LOL!!

    Lead...Lead will block it.

We can already do this using IR-Light detection and using Microwaves.

Maybe I like to be slapped? LOL!!!

Actually....although I am trained NEVER to lose my cool....the most angry I have EVER BEEN besides being shot...was when a Gay Family Member of a girl I was dating...a guy....was drunk and thought I was making fun of him...which I was not....and as I walked into another room he SLAPPED ME...right in the face...hard!!!

It took everything I had not to break him in two!!!

I made a young fellow who is gay pissed at me with what I thought was a funny comment a couple of years ago. He is quite effeminate in his mannerisms and we were making verbal jabs back and forth like people do. He mentioned something about how he would hate to see me get my ass kicked by a gay guy and when I replied with "Hey now, I have no problem hitting a woman", he got all upset. :roflol:

It IS already being used by law enforcement and has been for a few years already.

I don't have any issue as far as what a persons sexual orientation might be but I do have issue when...and this usually happens to me often because even though I could care less....Gay Men look at my size and mannerisms and label me as a GAY BASHER just because I am born Hetero Alpha Male.

What happens is I will be minding my own business and a very effeminate and fluffy Gay Male will PURPOSELY direct a comment at me which is a combination of both being funny and cutting.

    I ignore it.

    Then it will continue.

    I ignore it.

Then as they will not get a rise out of me they will PURPOSELY touch me in an inappropriate way such as one guy put his hand on my chin and cupped it and said...."Honey I would rock your world."

THAT....is where I draw the line.

You can say what you want to me but DO NOT TOUCH ME!!!

I grabbed his wrist and arm and put it behind his back and slammed his face onto the table....and told him....Do not touch!! And then I let him go.

You think this would scare him off right??

    OH no.

Then they start coming at me in droves!!

And the thing is....I support Gay Rights!!!

Yea, I'm all for same sex marriage. I know quite a few gay and lesbians. I can't say I'm close friends with any of them, but we have no issues and I've never had a problem with any of them "coming on" to me. I guess I ain't their type which I can live with. :roflol:

I wish that was true for me.

What really irks me is they think I am some Gay Bashing Neanderthal which I am not.

I support Gay Marriage and equal rights but this thing that happens to me really get's to me sometimes.

One of the camera manufacturers inadvertently released one of its video cams whose night vision worked to see through people's clothes. IIRC they recalled them without telling people why.
