Well, it's never too early for 'em to learn just WHAT they exist for in the government's eyes!

agree, Trump's IRS used over 10k as the number, and as I said, I think we should stay with 10k

if they want to change to $600, explain to us why, is this a war on drugs thing? or what?

It's a great way to track people's political activity and things of that sort, too. There's no end to how this surveillance could get abused, and we can all rest assured that it will get abused.

President Xiden is following the example set by his ChiCom comrades to establish a total surveillance society...

Funny given the following lie came from you.
Why are you pro tax evasion?? Seems like an odd stance to take...

I don't have the answer for that, but an educated guess says under this boondoggle, probably.

How are they going to be able to catch all those tax cheats who hold garage sales and not report the income if they stay at the $10,000 level?

    Good points...

Question 1 = No... I think my cash record on Craigslist was @ $100 for some golf clubs for my kid

Qustion 2 = No... I believe contractors are responsible for reporting all cash income... I think my high for a cash payment is probably @ $150 for some branch cutting..... and he did a crappy job... and I now own an extension chain saw...

This administration could institute any policy and the left would defend it. I bet if they mandated that everyone be injected with something they would defend it. Oooppps. They already did...

There is nothing more oppressive than a leftist with power.

how many make money off a garage sale, most people sell the item for less than they paid for it... that is a loss

they are just reducing their losses

like selling a stock for less than you paid for it... no income there to tax

    :roflol:

    WRONG!
    And, utterly laughable.:bored:

I voted for Biden and I OPPOSE this policy.
Thus, I am not "defending" it.

In the future, I would suggest that you avoid painting your political opponents with a broad brush.

When they can track your $, they can track you in very personal ways. Who did you donate to? What did you spend your $ on? Who did you gift money to? These are not things you want a clearly Authoritarian Government to know about your private life.

Wait until you learn about your Google History being handed over to the feds in this bill too. That's going to be fun.

sales tax when in essence it becomes a transaction tax. If I buy for $100 and pay $7 sales tax. It seems that if I then sell for $30 the buyer should pay $2.10 tax

    assuming 7%

I believe that this leads there

Democrat policies need to be funded and there is no better source for the funding than the common folk who ALWAYS get hurt by Democrat policies

What federal tax is due on personal items you sell at a yard sell? In fact state tax is not applicable on house hold items you sell at a loss as in a yard sale.

That's when I close out my current account, and start up 10 other accounts and only put $500 each in them...

So glad to have the adults back. To reiterate: They don't give a **** about us, we the people. They care about how much we can run on the hamster wheel until we expire and die, then insert the new cog. Laws like this are example #1001 of it.
