Legalizing pot will more likely be a state-based thing in the short run.

Washington looks like it will successfully legalize it this November.

    That's false.

But what they don't vote for is psychopathic, warmongering, liberty crushing scum bag double speaking political trash such as Obama.

Maybe I don't know much about the demographics of America, but am I right in assuming there aren't enough stoners to make a real difference in the election? I think Obama is smart enough to target large but specific groups (eg specific races) and understands that it's a more effective use of his time.

    Fair question.

I'll add that IMO, marijuana smokers have faced greater persecution at the hands of the state than both illegal immigrants and homosexuals. They've suffered more as a direct result of the legal status of marijuana. But there isn't much political value for Obama to take up this cause.

Even if the Fed decriminalize it, most States will continue to prohibit it. So I really don't see any massive changes coming to most of America with Federal Decriminalization of Marijuana.

Pot heads act like if the Fed just decriminalizes it all the other States will follow suit. They simply won't.

Unlikely. Not racist enough. Obama is more likely to include malt liquor under food stamps before legalizing marijuana.

What are you doing? You can't inject any fact that doesn't shine a positive light on drug abuse. It might make people want to take other people's "freedom" away.
