Not bothered if you don't like the choices, and don't care if your choice is not there, etc. Sorry. As it says on the tin. You can choose two of these ten h/guns. What do you pick, and why so? Choices to follow...
I picked the Beretta 92 as I just like the look of it! And I picked Smith & Wesson .500 S&W Magnum , since it said something about no one else being able to replicate one aspect of it.
I'd want the Glock or the HK. The final decision would be based upon which one had the best price tag compared to it's condition. Why? In my opinion, you can't lose with either one of those manufacturers.
Berreta and 1911. The .45 is a real ballsy gun, all metal and wood. When you hold one, you know you have a real weapon. I hate polymer guns.
I really only like the Beretta 92 as I think it is very elegant and stylish. No idea what it would be like to use.
Hands down, Beretta 92 and 1911. Beretta 92 as the design in simple and brilliant. Functional, fairly accurate, and a common round. The 1911 because it is, simply, a classic American gun. Big round, not over powered, and there is a reason the design has not changed in over 100 years.
They vary wildy by state. The Beretta in California you can get new for under $600. The 1911? Well, you can get inexpensive ones for $500, and Kimber's top models will go over $2000. Personally, I have a Glock 21 as my 45.
You forgot to put Super Soaker 500 on the list! I've never had a gun so I'd want a noob-friendly idiot-proof one. Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard the AK-47 is very easy to operate and user friendly so I might start with that one, at least to still have firepower.. I'm not for sure so correct me if I'm wrong about that anyone, or which might be a good noob gun.
The AK is indeed both of those things. Pretty much any gun (within reason) will be an okay first gun. The more pertinent thing to consider, is why you want one. Is it for hunting, for plinking, self defense... all of the above?
Glock 17 for me Glock 19 for my wife But I prefer my compound bow and broadheads from the top of the stairs first.
I went with the Smith and Weston because I've seen one in action and it's a breathtaking piece of engineering. I remember seeing a video of some guy hitting targets so far away that they're practically out of sight. Really neat stuff.
It wouldn't be for hunting as I don't have the heart or stomach for it.. And not for self-defense. Not that I feel people shouldn't have the right to have a gun for self-defense, just that I personally don't feel I need it... It would be for recreational shooting like at paper targets and bottles and cans and such.
Well what is the min and max it could be, for the Ber? - - - Updated - - - I take it one is just a bit smaller than the other, is that right?
Have a Beretta 92F in my trunk, and a .40 cal HK pistol locked in the nightstand. A better poll would be what two guns would you use for any given situation, if limited to two choices. Such as a 12 guage shotgun and a handgun, a scoped hunting rifle and a shotgun, an AR-type rifle and a handgun, etc.
