You don't have to settle for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump when you vote for president. There will be other candidates on the ballot. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and his running mate Bill Weld will be on the ballot in every state in the Union. Gary Johnson has even reportedly given up smoking pot during the campaign to make himself a more attractive candidate. If you are unfamiliar with Gary Johnson's views, CNN has a good article about him online If you are in favor of smaller government, he may be your candidate. http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/22/politics/gary-johnson-bill-weld-town-hall/

The Green Party candidate Jill Stein will be on the ballot in many states. Her running mate is Cheri Honkala, and anti-poverty activist. If Jill Stein is not on the ballot in your state, you may write in her name to vote for her. She probably appeals more to liberals, because her platform includes affordable education and health care, a right to have a job, a reduction of the gap between the very rich and the rest of us, and an end to institutional racism. If you have conservative leanings, you probably do not share her values. Her website is http://www.jill2016.com/plan.

More conservative voters may like my candidate, Jason Wilder. It's questionable how many states will put him on the ballot, because he is running as an independent with no political party backing. He believes in the right of every law-abiding American to own as many guns as they want, but he wants to implement measures to keep guns out of the hands of those who would use them to commit crimes. His website is http://www.wilderforpresident.com. If his name is not on the Arizona ballot, I plan to write his name in. However, we are all different, so I'm not trying to persuade you to do the same thing.

What I am trying to do is persuade people to vote for someone other than the two main candidates, one a member of the rich classes and the other the handmaiden of the rich classes. You have more choices.

If it makes you feel good, go ahead, but you might as well write your own name in or stay home.

And I dislike both of the candidates of the major parties.

The only candidate who could run outside the two majors this year and have an impact would be Bernie Sanders, which would throw the victory to the Republicans.

It sucks but we have a system where ONLY a democrat or republican can be president. Vote for one is a vote against the other. I don't like Hillary but I will be voting anti trump which means I will be voting for Hillary

I agree. If we want the two major parties to continue to come up with candidates like Trump or Clinton, vote for them. If you want a decent candidate that might actually be good for America, choose a third party candidate. I am sure regardless of whether Trump or Clinton wins, this country will be in far worst shape once either leaves office than when they first entered. That should be enough for most Americans to take a good look at the other candidates and pick the one they think will be of advantage to this country. Not one who will reside over it ruination ala Trump or Clinton.

Ah, the lesser of two evils choice, regardless of who wins you will still have evil in the White House. Is this what this country has come to? If so, we get the winner we deserve. We have the government we deserve. We keep voting for it because according to you, there is no other choice.

We accept bad government, bad leadership, ineptness, corruption, only because those who we send to continue this has an R or a D next to their name. Lesser of two evils, If that is what you want, it is guaranteed to happen.

Trump is more anti-war than killary.

Let us not forget it is killary that helped destabilize the middle east, not Trump.

The Democrats and the Republicans have given us a choice between arsenic and cyanide. Pick your own poison, either way your dead. If Donald Trump wins it will be because the Democrats insisted on nominating Hillary Clinton. There was a poll out a while back that showed 54% of all Americans wanted the Democrats to nominate someone else other than Clinton. Did the Democrats listen to what the majority of Americans wanted? No way.

If Donald Trump wins, you have no one to blame but yourself and those who gave us Clinton. I could have supported any other Democrat against Trump, Sanders, O'Malley, Webb, Webb was my first choice for the nomination. Biden, Warren, even Schumer if they had ran. But not Clinton. If Donald Trump wins, every Democrat needs to look in the mirror, there lies the blame. Not those of use who refuse to choose between arsenic and cyanide.

Its not like you or the Democrats didn't know how most Americans felt. You had this:

They are both lies. But at least with Clinton we have a voting record. We have nothing from Trump. Maybe he will go back to being a liberal democrat....or become a fascist dictator

Hillary's bad record is the reason I will not vote for her in the first place.

True Trump doesn't have a record so there is the unknown, but with Hillary you know it's bad. If there were no other choice I would vote for Trump based upon the know vs the unknown, but I will be voting for Gary Johnson as well this time. While I do not think he will win I want him to make one hell of a dent in the numbers so maybe....just maybe a third party can get a jump start.

Each of us view this differently. Clinton is far from being day old bread. If so, that bread is covered with toxic mold an inch thick, just waiting for this country to ingest it. I am not alone in thinking or believing this.

43% of all Americans said they couldn't ever, never support of vote for Clinton according to Quinnipiac. 24% of all Americans according to Rasmussen have stated they could never vote for or support either Trump or Clinton, they would stay home giving this election a pass or vote third party.

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=DailyNewsletter

27% of all independents according to Reuters/Ipsos stated they would vote other or third party in an election between Trump and Clinton. 10% of Republicans and 10% of Democrats said they would vote other or third party.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/docs/2016/Reuters_Ipsos_June_18_to_22_2016.pdf

The bottom line is there are quite a lot of voters who will either stay home or vote third party rather than get their hands dirty by holding their nose and voting for either Trump or Clinton. The two major parties have given us a choice few of us want to make outside of the avid supporters of Trump and Clinton.

I have posted numerous times that if Trump wins it will be because the Democrats nominated Clinton. Of course the reverse is true, if Clinton wins it will be because the Republicans nominate Trump. The polls always supported me when I stated any other Democratic Candidate would beat Trump handily and easily. Of course any other Republican candidate with the possible exception of Cruz would have beaten Clinton.

So if Trump wins, look in the mirror as to the reason why. Don't blame those who have been hollering at the top of their lungs for two decent candidates to choose from. Both parties ignored the major of Americans, so it is rather simple, they made their beds, now they can sleep in them. My hands will be clean if either one wins.

Here' s the deal. Whether you decide to vote for a major party candidate for President or go third party, your real impact is going to be down-ticket anyway. If you are liberal or left of center like I am, however we divide between Stein or Clinton, we will still likely reunify in purpose at the state and local level. We can vote in Congressmen, state legislators, governors, Secretary of State, Attorney General,City Council, mayor. And then there are multiple measures, state constitutional amendments, referenda, and initiatives on taxes, bond measures, energy, gambling, the environment, zoning, public housing, marijuana , health care, education. In many states there will be judges and justices on the ballot.

Let's not get so torn apart at the top, that we forget what good we can do together below. The same is true for conservative. voters. Our responsibility does not end with picking the inhabitant in the oval office. It barely starts. Most of what we accomplish as voters, most of our real impact, happens outside of Washington DC.

Trump's lack of a bad political record is why I will vote for him.
