So the article doesn't really explain anything, and instead tries to drive its point of saying that there are people that want green energy. Isn't this ignoring the fact that the coal-gas industries are some of the biggest lobbyists on Capital Hill?

I agree the article referenced lacks any credible information and just an opinion piece until otherwise proven. Having all the lobbyists in the world doesn't do anything when the party in power is trying to shut down domestic energy production in the name of not yet developed green energy.

I'm in an industry directly tied to the energy sector. Obama's policies aren't killing coal, mostly. Natural gas is. And, the petroleum industry hasn't been hurt by the EPA. Now, the EPA is a bit harsh on existing coal power plants, which needs to be addressed. But, coal is doing fine by selling to China, India and other developing economies, because the GOP blocked cap and trade at both the national, and international levels. That said, some of the objections to Kyoto were valid. What the US needed to do was to push for changes, instead of leaving it as is and seeing pollution be a larger problem, worldwide.

I agree. That being said fighting bias with bias isn't going to get us anywhere.
