You seem to have a lot of pent up anger towards those making more money than you do....

If a couple is making $200k per year, they weren't eligible for the $2400, fyi.

Also, how do you come up with the idea that a couple making $200k per year will make $9600/month for unemployment? (Just curious, since it varies by state.)

You seem to be disregarding that people who make more tend to also spend more. Bigger mortgages on more expensive houses, car payments on more expensive/multiple cars, maybe a payment for a boat or an RV too, maybe even a second home, on and on it goes. Americans have a bad habit of living right up to what they can afford, so their spending is directly related to their income. Few people who make $200k/year are going to live like a person making $50k/year. Don't misunderstand that I'm necessarily supporting that idea, but that's the reality of things.

Faux sense of safety, and a dose of class warfare too.

Point taken. They're still not hurtin at $9600/month
That's based on max unemployment (varies by state) of $600/wk as stated above in this thread...plus the $600/wk they are now elligible and will continue to be through July

I still don't see how that comes to $9600/month unemployment (?)

So you're math say the people are paying 57K a years on a 500K loan. Going out on a limb here but I bet you're not a math teacher or an accountant!:shock:

Maybe rather than typing you should pay more attention to the states with Governors who think they are absolute rulers.
Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, and California to name just a handful.

I just ran the math again to see..and yea...$4800/month IS $57,600.00 /yr. Someone ELSE claimed that it was on a $500K loan...not me.

    $1200/wk times two people is 2400/wk. That's ...yup...$9600/month

    Sheesh

What? Um, no, not at all. I've been going with your figures, even though you were flat out wrong that a couple earning $200+k/year would get the $1200/each stimulus, and I've been skeptical about how you calculated unemployment, but not enough to fact check your claims because it doesn't have any real relevance to the topic anyhow.

You've been rambling and all over the place with complaining about people with $400 and $500k houses, to your guesstimates as to how much such people would make via unemployment, to your claims about their stimulus checks, you've been moving the goalposts constantly in your attempt to support your hate-the-rich narrative.

    Those were YOUR numbers

Somehow you equated a $4800 mortgage payment with those figures. I didn't bother embarrassing you there...it appears pointless to do so

    You're still wrong.

Here is the conversation where the $400 and $500k houses were introduced, to refresh your memory:

Apology accepted. Now quit with the personal attacks and the childish posts or you're going to find yourself back on 'ignore' time-out.

So you didn't propose those bogus numbers...you just accepted them and quoted them in attacking me.

    Oh...

The problem is you're thinking about $9600 a month from your own point of view. It's only a lot of money if it's close to what you regularly make. If it's equivalent to half your working income, it's not going to be enough, and you're going to want to return to work as soon as possible. The stimulus checks didn't go out to all of us, and it was a one time thing.

Lesh is using the $4800 from me talking about the maximum amount a person could get in unemployment. I guess it never occurred to them that when I said $4800 wasn't going to cover the monthly mortgage I was talking about it eating too much into monthly income, not that it wouldn't be enough to make the mortgage payment. Because, you know, it's makes perfect sense to spend your entire income on your mortgage.:roflol::roflol:

As opposed to H1N1, which infected 60.8 million Americans in 2009 - 2010, and continues to infect, hospitalize people every flu season. While acute COVID-19 cases predominate among the elderly and elder care facilities where Cuomo sent COVID infected people, H1N1 looks like this from an age perspective
