Its fascinating that a prior president of the United States isn’t a current event but the 392nd company laying off employees is.

All that said — I hope his attorneys are correct when they have advised him he will likely die in prison. May karma be so great.

‘Just say that the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me’

On Dec. 27, 2020, Trump called the then-acting Attorney General Jeffery Rosen and the then-acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue and “raised multiple false claims” about the election, according to the indictment.

“When the Acting Attorney General told the Defendant that the Justice Department could not and would not change the outcome of the election, the Defendant responded, ‘Just say that the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen,’” the indictment states.

He tried those electors in multiple states and they had nothing to do with the phone call

It doesn't surprise me that none of you can answer the question.

It has been answered repeatedly. At some point you have to accept that

The indictment only spells out the charges under the USC. It doesn't explain the actual crime that violated the law.

How did Trump "Attempt to defraud The United States"?

    ?

'Co-conspirator 6: Michael Roman or Boris Epshteyn?'

"Unlike the first five co-conspirators listed in the indictment, the identity of the sixth individual is unclear given the information provided.

There are several possible individuals who could fit the allegations that prosecutors attributed to the political operative listed as co-conspirator 6, but the most likely individuals are Michael Roman or Boris Epshteyn.

Prosecutors described the final co-conspirator as “a political consultant who helped implement a plan to submit fraudulent slates of presidential electors to obstruct the certification proceeding.”

Michael Roman served as the Trump re-election campaign’s director of Election Day operations. He joined the effort to put forward the pro-Trump “fake electors” from swing states to submit to Congress.

However, CNN last month reported that Roman entered into a proffer agreement with prosecutors in special counsel Jack Smith’s office to avoid prosecution in exchange for cooperation.

Boris Epshteyn served as a special assistant to Trump in the White House and advised him during the 2020 presidential election.'

I should, I went over them in the very post you quoted. The thing is, the 'fake' electors are not quite so 'fake'. Specifically, they would not have been fake if indeed there were irregularities in the swing states, that by some per chance swung a state over to Trump. In which case, Republican electors would have been able to vote for Trump.(Another point of contention is so called faithless electors, remember in 2016 where one voted for the star spangled eagle.)

There wasn't a charge for the faithless electors, even though they too 'deprived the civilians' of their vote, by not voting for Donald Trump in 2016. The government did not allege fraud 8 years ago, so on what basis does the government allege fraud now?

The government does not have a basis, factual or otherwise to claim that the government was defrauded, and even less of a basis to claim that any one voter or person was impacted by Trump's calls or his misguided plans.

In truth the so-called 'fake' electors are in a state of legal limbo. If the state had found irregularities, they are no longer fake. But since that the state did not find irregularities, they are now 'fake'.

It's an ad-hoc argument, by the prosecution.

    https://www.logicallyfallacious.com/logicalfallacies/Ad-Hoc-Rescue

Egoboy gave us the traditional example of a fraud, and the government's claims woefully miss its mark on all of the above traditional examples. No one was defrauded, all votes were counted and the current sitting Preident who won the 2020 elections is sitting there as President as we speak.

A/B he's cooked on, but the fake electors scheme is basically pissing sour grapes for Trump's audacity of having done it, rather than any actual attempt at fraud.

If he didn't deceive anyone, why is he being charged with lying? He's literally being charged with questioning the outcome of an election. I can't wait to see the precedent this sets...lol

Regarding the two of us, I’m the one who has been listening to, and watching, the truth unfold for a couple of years. And now it is about to be brought to completion. But you said you don’t know any of that. Yet you want to have an opinion.

It says he's being charged with lying. That's the only thing I saw. Democrats better hope this entire indictment falls on its face. It'll set the precedent that it's illegal to question elections and file lawsuits redressing grievances concerning elections. Remember the "resist movement"? Remember impeaching Trump on made up charges?

All you are telling me is that you haven't read the indictment and are completely unfamiliar with anything it involves. No. Trump wasn't just "questioning" the election. Try reading. I know the Dear Leader is incapable, but surely you are.
