    So, marry Christmas everyone! :sun:

I hope you will enjoy this small lesson on Christmas.

This is part 1, but you can easily find other parts on YouTube, in case you are interested in the matter.

In English, it's "merry" not "marry" although I can see why foreigners can confuse them.

As for the Christ story, there are many modern examples of legends and myths rising around historically significant figures. I have little doubt this happened with Jesus, especially with his early years.

Hate to say it, but it appears to me for many intent on disproving the existence of God – then God may in some ways give them enough rope to hang themselves, if they are so driven.

One example, the size of the universe. Because it is so unimaginably vast (science says at least 15 billion light years across) the skeptic says there has to be intelligent life elsewhere. Why? God can make a universe in a day just to awe mankind.

Evolution: Many intelligent folks believe that a rock or a lump of coal or some amino acids could somehow transform themselves into a DNA molecule all by itself. And from there turn into plants and water bugs and furry animals and grow eyeballs and spines and livers and wings and lungs and brains. All by chance or some odd thing called ‘natural selection.’ Without an Intelligent Designer! Without God. This is illogical, untenable and pure ego on the part of the skeptic. Again, enough rope.

So now you want us to believe because some common claims or facts between Jesus Christ and pagan gods exist that the apostles in the Holy Land just made all this up about Jesus and studied the earlier ones to try and tie it in or come up with a believable formula? And that is your defense for denying the reality of Jesus Christ and the divinity of Christ? You, who are not the least bit interested in researching countless extremely well documented miracles of the Christian faith --- because it will likely lay waste to your Mithra theory --- you really believe in your own heart you found the answer?

No, God has, again, provided rope to those adamant deniers who demand they live their lives the way they choose to hang themselves. On the most flimsy and almost worthless arguments. Those who desperately seek reasons to denounce the reality of Jesus Christ and His divinity, those people run away from legions of empirical evidence and miracles that tells them --- sorry, pal, you are fooling yourself and life is not some game.

Fatima alone is proof of God. Also, The Shroud of Turin totally baffles science, the 250,000 who saw the Virgin Mary at Zeitoun, Egypt, hundreds of weeping statues and paintings of Jesus and Mary, incorruptible bodies of long dead saints, the bleeding wounds of Christ for 50 years on Padre Pio, the inexplicable life of Joan of Arc, the horrific and factual manifestations of the devil in children or other victims during a Catholic exorcism, the unexplained 500 year old image on a cactus cloak Our Lady of Guadalupe, the House of Loreto. And so much more.

(as far as Mithra goes, kind of a boring topic for me. https://jamesbishopblog.com/2015/01...-know-jesus-is-not-a-copy-of-pagan-religions/ )
