I agree with the jury's verdict. And the reason why I agree is because the trial was clearly lacking a crucial piece of the puzzle. What exactly happened when Zimmerman approached Trayvon Martin? Did he simply ask him what he was doing and was viciously assaulted for no reason? Or is there more to it than that? Now let's say that Zimmerman approaches Martin in a bullying fashion and asks him what the F***K he's doing there. Martin takes off his headphones, turns around and tells Zimmerman to get away from him. He put his headphones back on and starts walking away. While he's walking away he takes out his cellphone and calls a friend which is one of the witnesses. Zimmerman continues following and then gets up in Martin's face. He's confident because he has a gun, and decides to push the "scrawny-looking" teenager. To his surprise, Martin is a lot tougher than he appears and defends himself against the BULLY. He pushes him on the ground and hits him a few times in the face. Zimmerman panics and starts screaming for help. He's not fearing for his life. But he just doesn't like the feeling of getting wooped by a kid that HE PICKED ON. He shoots him and sees that there are no witnesses. This allows him to exaggerate what really happened. If this is what happened, do you think Zimmerman is innocent? I don't think so.

The fact that Zimmerman consistently lied to police about what happened, that there is a missing 2 minutes in Z's timeline, should have been enough for the jurors to question the veracity of the Z's story. B37 mentioned they voted the way they did because there wasn't any evidence to contradict that Z shot in self defense. Well, there's plenty of evidence to show Z had been, lying, fibbing and exaggerating. That alone calls into question his claim of self defense. If you can't believe the shooter/killers story, you can't accept it was done in self defense.

Criminal cases aren't about "what if". The Zimmerman case showed that clearly. The State tried the old "what if" crap and asked the jury to "fill in the blanks" and they failed. Why?....it is a little thing called reasonable doubt.

IF that is what happened, I would agree 100% that GZ should be spending the rest of his life in jail.

However, our legal system does not work that way, and thankfully so. Your theory is nothing more than speculation and is therefore nothing more than fiction created straight from your imagination. There is absolutely no evidence or indications that support your theory. The evidence in way of DD's testimony even support the opposite, and that it was TM that approached GZ and asked him "Why are you following me?". There is also the fact that the child, that was supposedly "scared", had only ran 150 ft in the 2+ minutes in his attempt to avoid the "CAC" that was following him, while GZ had only traveled a sum of that 150 ft after those 2+ minutes.

OP...please link me to evidence that Zimmerman EVER approached Martin. It appears to me that their first exchange was initiated by MARTIN. Zimmerman walking in the same path as Martin is not consider 'approaching'; that's what MARTIN apparently did when he circled back to confront Zimmerman.

Any imbecile shoul be able to figure out what happened here.

Derp. Please know facts before opening piehole.

What if Zimmerman is really a 97 year old SS concentration camp guard and martin was the Angel Gabriel? What if Zimmerman was Freddy Krueger and Martin a basketfull of cute puppies?

Let's see, the police believed GZ was telling the truth and he passed a voice-stress analysis. Exactly what blatant lies are you referring to? It is normal for someone that had experienced stressful situation to not be completely "exact" as they retell their version of events. Things that are remembered latter or added clarifications often are normal. It is the person that keeps telling the same EXACT story over and over that are more likely lying....especially if that story is word-for-word.

Zimmerman made sure it wasn't a 'what if' by shooting Martin through the heart. What if he had been shot in the leg instead? Then the 'what if' could still give his side of the story.

Again, re-read my post. "what if" is meaningless.

But there were witnesses and it was Trayvon who circled around and attacked Zimmerman. That along with the fact that Angela Corey's prosecution with held pertinent and exculpatory evidence from the defense.

This is correct, which is why we ALL KNOW it was Murder. He just got off scott free due to shoddy Police work by the racist Sanford Police.

He will be tried again in the streets though...with unfavorable results I might add. .:bored: oh well.

If he is not in fear of his life then it is not self-defense. So you have basically made your hypothetical very cut and dry. A true hypothetical would be a lot grayer. Because no one on this forum wouldn't fear for their life if their head was being beaten against concrete. So your hypothetical is impossible.

The correct hypothetical would be that Zimmerman assaulted Martin but ultimately did fear for his life as his head was being beaten against concrete. In that case there law is pretty cut an dry.

Under 776.041 Use of force by aggressor.

    http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0700-0799/0776/0776.html

The law is rather clear. Zimmerman would still be allowed to use deadly force because Martin escalated the situation by first using deadly force. Yes beating someones head against concrete is deadly force.

Even though Zimmerman would have been guilty of assault. Felony murder would still not apply because simple assault does not fall under Florida's felony murder rule.

    http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes...ing=&URL=0700-0799/0782/Sections/0782.04.html

    http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes...ing=&URL=0700-0799/0782/Sections/0782.04.html

This makes perfect sense because no reasonable person would think that a fight alone would be imminent danger to human life. Although improbable accidents do happen. It is only when the degree of force used rises to the level of assault with a deadly weapon and/or intent to kill. Beating someones head against concrete for example is assault with a deadly weapon because you knew or should have known that it can very easily kill someone.

So Zimmerman would still get self defense. However, he would be guilty of assault. That is only a first degree misdemeanor. Since Martin died we would expect the court to give Zimmerman the maximum which would be one year in jail.

This is fundamentally where the travonites have no understanding of the law. There have no clue that there is a section of the law that deals with self defense by the aggressor. Even if there were a witness that could testify to their insane theory. Even if someone saw Zimmerman walk down martin confront him and shove or even strike him. He is still covered by self defense by aggressor statute because Martin was the one who escalated the confrontation to deadly force. The most Zimmerman would get even under their theories is 1 year in prison for a 1st degree misdemeanor.

I think the OP needs to be arrested and run through the Criminal Court ringer. I have a "what-if" scenario that demands such.

Looks like you will have to settle with what you can get. As of now George is free, Trayvon is dead and the federal government is giving lip service. Enjoy.

DD's testimony that TM said "He's right next to me".

Oh ya I forgot, everyone is lying except the shooter/killer.
