Sounds good but the problem is no where does the constitution give the federal govt the power to do such things. So by the tenth amendment, health care is a state issue. That's why so many states are nullifying obamacare.

sterilization does not help women survive childbirth. If they are sterile they won't have a child, if they are having a baby you can't post-sterilize

Sterilization is referring to a hysterectomy. In other words pulling out a woman's reproductive system. Do that, and you will be on hormones the rest of your natural born life b/c you just yanked out the organs that produce estrogen. Ya know, the hormones that keep females female?????

You didn't get the point. This is case of the federal gov't overstepping its authority saying it must have, and 2) saying we know what is best for you, you don't know what is best for you. Biology 101 and common sense 101, if women doesn’t have sex, she doesn’t need to worry about STD and pregnancy or anything like that.

 

A "hysterectomy" is a "hysterectomy"! The only time it is used for "sterilization" is among Catholic women who are absurdly sometimes getting this MAJOR surgery for "medical reasons" to get around the Church ban on "sterilizations" if a woman would be harmed or killed by more pregnancies.

"Sterilization" refers to tying the fallopian tubes that bring the egg down to the woman's uterous.

It is relatively minor outpatient surgery, with very low risk (VERY VERY low risk compared to a hysterectomy) for the woman and NO effects on hormones, cycles or anything else for women.

ONLY the deadly evil of the Catholic Church forces hysterectomy on women for "birth control" when a tubal ligation sterilization is perfectly adequate if pregnancy need be avoided.

BTW, I have committed a mortal sin and am condemned to hell for getting a vasectomy to avoid having children with massive birth defects for taxpayers to pay for and for you all to give lifelong care to my children.

The government is giving women the OPTION of having birth control if they want it. In NO WAY is it REQUIRING women to take it!

 

They should abolish sterilization (sterilisation spelling in U.K. & English Commonwealth) surgeries. I'm pro-choice on abortion & I agree with birth control such as pill, condoms, Rhythm & no sex. But sterlizations are mutilations & unless it's a hysterectomy to save a life, abolish these surgeries. All things =, if a woman has not been spayed vs. if untouched, it's more attractive to go for the woman who is untouched. Unsure why a woman would want to have sex with a man who has had a vasectomy. Also there are many women & men who did not have kids when they were young & then they regret later in life that they did not have kids & sterilizations which are permanent worsen this.

A woman has around 20 or so good fertile years in her life to get pregnant & have kids (18 to 39 years old). After a woman turns 40, her fertility levels go down & after she hits menopause, she can't have kids. They must also abolish sex change mutilations-against a Dr. surgically maiming a man or woman to make them fake opposite sex members just as opposed to a Dr. trying to make a man a dog by surgically altering his voice, etc. because he thinks he is a dog instead of a man. Sex change mutilations are even worse than homosexual/lesbian activities. They must cure GID, not surgically maim a person to make them fake members of opposite sex, but sex changes sadly happen because science knows how to do this. If a Black person believed he or she was White, it would be wrong for a Dr. to try to change their skin color. Man is man, woman is woman, dog is dog & cat is cat. My view is not based on any religion, it's based on seeing something wrong with these maimings. I'd say very few. Those with serious medical conditions or those that carry genetic traits that would cause traumatic physical or mental defects in their children would be advised to consider it but even that doesn't mean they would.
