Hate nationalism, but hallelujah! Portugal is a splendid country. I'd support their tiddlywinks over ours!
That's correct, I'm fairly confident you didn't know "all of that". Forgive me for believing that your opinion might vary from those who associate with you.
.And it is abundantly clear that your Football knowledge hovers around the zero mark . If you had actually done your homework you would have seen that a Ukie was well offside before Terry cleared the ball , albeit 99% certain from over the line . So you didn't actually watch a match . Another Hilly Billy talking out of his hand bag .
Ooo, get the wannabe coach. The offside wasn't given. Rugby League, being advanced in terms of how we get a quick decision, would tell you the result: goal
Despite the fact that it is a great spectators sport and is widly played I dont think you will ever see rugby in the Olympics they seem to just prefer to add these gender neutral sports like curling or speed walking.
What are you? A christian who goes around believing the unprovable A fan of Father Christmas ? I'm interested in facts not your private world . We will see how you perform over the Euro final stages , Tour de France , F1 , Golf , Olympic national trials and the Olympics . You better be dynamite or you will sink . Fast . Love a Motor Mouth. if he is good .
Yes , I can tell you about the national team and their recent record . However i am more interested in Field hockey where our teams are both fourth world rated going into the Olympics . You , trying to be a smart arse , back fired My working knowledge of Sports far exceeds that of many pseudo Economists whom I have bumped into and who consider themselves expert .
What are you gibbering on about? No, I'm not religious, if that's what you're asking. Then perhaps stop asking questions about me, to me, about nonsensicals like my religion. Despite your opinion, I won't be competing in any of those events.
I'm sure the mafia make a killing out of it though. Have you noticed how many league games begin with a throw in during the first minute? If I had my way, I would investigate the bank accounts of all those overpaid professional footballers who managed to achieve that last season.
I love it, i think Germany is the team to beat(as usual) because Spain cant do anything without the EU's help or money.
Certainly betting is vast and particularly in India -- cricket mainly -- and Asia.Billions across all sports every week . Based on the little we do know , match fixing is rife and at all levels and probably everywhere . . Look at Italian Sierra A and B . Corruption is everywhere . Our anti doping testing system is the best in the world but the Goal Posts are changed regularly as new drugs and procedures become available . I don't see how we can examine individual's accounts unless Fraud and Corruption is first proved .The main way of keeping a semblance of honesty has been to get the betting industry on side and as per Horse Racing look for patterns of bets and amount comparisons . My feeling is that we only reach the tip of the iceberg , not helped by the number of illegal bookmakers that exist . With the Olympic Committee allegedly stuffed with corruption and FIFA just rotten to the core ( Daily Telegraph is brilliant in these areas) it sometimes seems that it is impossible to catch a significant number of all of the cheats . I have no idea how you combat successfully .
Here comes the knockout stage! Who's gonna win & who am I cheering for? Will Portugal let me down? I don't think so, at least versus the Czech's; So lets go Portugal! I picked Germany to win it all & I still believe that; Germany should roll the Greeks. Many may discount France's chances against Spain...I don't! I give France a chance to win this game, therefore I will be cheering them on. Vive la France! Hmm, England vs. Italy, who do I dislike less? OK, I guess I'll be (reluctantly) cheering for the English! schedule
France vs Spain will be by far the most entertaining, i hope. Both like to play a possession football which will make it very interesting to see how they'll handle defensively when playing without it. Unlike Ireland, France has quality possession and Spain's aggressive defending with higher lines and pressuring the ball carrier alot, should open some spaces for the likes of Ribery, Ben Arfa and Benzema, one of the best European strikers. Now that i think of it, maybe i'd like Portugal to face Spain rather than France, we seem to do better against the spanish as of late. England vs italy, im rooting for england, Italy seems to have one of the weakest squads when in comparison to the others.
I have watched Italy vs Spain and England vs France .The Spanish have the best quality players and their coach is a real fox yet they look out of juice because of the heavy season program (80 or so games). Italians are probably high on drugs so they run more , it is a classic Squadra Azzura with solid defence and not very creative midfield they have a very good chance to win this Euro if they leave Ballotelli out. England is as terrible as always because their players are low quality , the French do have good players although not as great as the previous generation but they are not a team , they can not bring automatations into their game and they don't move without the ball , they play like in a Sunday league team. We played the Czechs ( i am from Greece) and they were not something special , if Portugal doesn't get into suicide mode again they will easily pass .
I think every team that's made the second stage has a chance, apart from Greece. Only god knows how they made it past the group stage. I will bet my car that he won't be so generous when they play the Germans.
If you stretch chance to its farthest limits, then I suppose you may be right. However, the chances of the Czech Republic and Greece are pretty similar, and the chances of England aren't that much better than those 2 teams. France is in a similar boat to England, they have more individual talent than England, but are a terrible team. There is quite a good chance that either Spain or Germany will win, and a pretty overwhelming chance that one of Spain, Germany, Italy, or Portugal will win.
