Austin Aries wins TNA World Wrestling Championship in a major upset last night: http://www.examiner.com/article/austin-aries-wins-tna-world-championship-at-destination-x Aries learned his craft under Eddie Sharkey here in the Twin Cities. He put up a tremendous effort against veteran champ Booby Roode and the fans agreed it was the match of the year. What a show it was!
It's still real to me (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)! [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvTNyKIGXiI
Not really. It's just that Federer is very classy. And I feel like stating it. I am quite indifferent to your "hero" to be honest. I am just glad Federer won because he is the better man, by far.
I don't know. You thought I was sad, mad, what, over Tsonga's loss? I hardly cared. So I supposed you might have been invested emotionally Like I said I am happy for Federer because he is imo the best tennis player ever, and he has a great character with lots of class! That is all I care.
Federer has happened to get in the way, but they are equal I think in terms of wins. Murray's problems are all in his head. He's got to take a step back and start thinking when it gets tricky, which usually comes with experience but remains to be seen if he manages to trip the switch before he's too old. Classy my assy. Smug. He is the best ever they say, according to his record.
I do like Andy, been watching him since he was young because I also like tennis. I was teasing you about Tsonga because as the clip only showed fed playing with his hair which is hardly classy, I thought you were having a go at Andy, who you have admitted you do not like. As Viv says before head to head they are equal. Andy developed a phobia about slams or I think he would have been more successful. However Nadal, Fed and Djokovic are all unusually good and fit...so is Andy. In 2008 he was No 2 and everyone was talking about him becoming No 1 ...and then everyone, particular players started saying he was not anyone yet because he did not have a slam and then I think it meant too much to him and he did not have confidence in slam finals. I have had times before when I have felt Andy has peaked and up till now after I have thought that, he has just got better. He seems to have not been progressing much recently so I am thinking that now, maybe he has missed his chance, but he might surprise me. Sorry you don't like the lad. Don't know if I would if I knew him but I do admire the effort he has put in and having watched him just want to see him make his potential. People either love or hate Fed it seems https://twitter.com/pseudofed http://pseudofedblog.com/ But then again everyone is saying he is the best player ever and I did admire the way he apparently played through Glandular Fever (having looked after my daughter through it!) and I also have admired the way he has continued even though until yesterday his ranking was down to 3 and he had not won a slam for two and a half years..but he does tend to look a little smug to me I must admit.
How many times do I have to write this? Please. I never said I didn't like Murray. I am just indifferent to him, his tennis, personality, whatever. As to Roger Federer, we see him rearrange his hair, for the tv, I suppose, after he had just been playing tennis for hours...sorry if you find it smug, or not class, but I will have to disagree. I don't want to convince you, but take a look at Federer's carreer before you even want to compare it with Murray's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Federer "Federer is greatly respected by fans and by fellow players alike as shown by the fact that he has won the ATPWorldTour.com Fans' Favorite Award a record nine consecutive times (20032011) and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award (which is voted for by the players themselves) a record seven times (20042009, 2011). Federer also won the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2006. In 2011, he was voted the second most trusted and respected person in the world, second only to Nelson Mandela."
And global corp base call centres here because the Scottish accent is trusted all over the world, so what? Respected is the word, not loved. He's boring.
Fair enough though people do not generally find a need to write that they are indifferent to someone unless they are making a point of it. Ah, maybe he is your 'hero'. I am think I am getting it. For the rest you are deliberately misrepresenting what I said. Did I say otherwise? Well then Darling, you have chosen a safe person to idolise.
Indeed. Second only to Nelson Mandela is quite a feat, when you think of it. Oh lookie, scroll down the top 10 in the following link http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/Tennis/2011/09/Features/Federer-Mandela-Most-Respected.aspx
I googled "Smug Federer" yesterday and the first link that came up was this: http://memegenerator.net/Smug-Federer You may change the captions
OK, the debate is already out there: The 1992 original "Dream Team" vs. the 2012 U.S.Olympic basketball team(sorry, not any kind of "Dream Team" yet); Who wins? I really don't like the comparisons at all. The 2012 team needs to win the Gold first, before any discussion can be legit. But since Kobe felt he HAD to answer the question, the talk is out there. Observations: The '12 team will face much better comp than the '92 team had to - not even close. Just from what I heard, the '12 already relies too much on the jump shot - not a good omen. The '12 team's athleticism vs. the '92 team's height(inside presence, O & D) & fundamentalism? I'll take my chances with the '92 team. Overall, I like the '92 team to beat the '12 team, not even real close. Say 4-2, in a best of 7 series. Now, '12 team, stop the yapping! Attack the basket & win the Gold! Then do the talking.

The new team wouldn't stand a chance against the Dream Team the Brazil game just proved that. This team is all guards. A team that is all great guards no more makes a great basketball team than 11 great quarterbacks make a great football team. They don't have a front court and they cant bang with anyone. While we can argue over if a 33 year old Kobe can match a 28 year old Jordan in the back-court yeah right. This team would be destroyed in the post by the Dream Team. Tyson Chandler starting at center??? Yeah he can hang with Ewing and Robinson. The Dream Team is a real team with real centers, forwards, and guards playing their real position. They fricking destroy these jokers.
I'm more than a little concerned that this team can even win the Gold. I may have been too kind giving the '12 team 2 wins vs. the '92 team.
This team is going to have to work to win gold. They should win it but its no forgone conclusion. The thing with the dream team is that they weren't playing to win gold. That was a forgone conclusion. They were playing to prove that they were the absolute best team ever assembled in any sport.
The Philadelphia Phillies are 15 games(loss column) behind the Nats & 11 games behind in the wild card, with 70 games left in their season. Can they come back? A large mountain to climb, but I'm not counting them out.
