Why is it any of your business? We like to kill babies by the millions as well! We like to kill people with drone aircraft and hope they were the bad guys. We kill American citizens abroad with drone aircraft. We give guns and aircraft to Islamist terrorists. We bully other nations.

So get off of the gun hate. We love guns because we know we could be next without them.

Yes our government now can take people (citizens) and disappear them forever. They get no trial or charges; just gone. That is our law!

Rubbish. The managers who control things vote themselves maximum wages while those who work get the minimum. The market will bear what its masters decide, obviously.

Name one company where the boss pays himself before he pays all the bills and employees. Revenue - Expenses = Profits. The managers can't decide to pay themselves anything, as everything in a business is considered an expense. To the rent down to the very last employee. The boss only makes money if their is a profit left over. This doesn't even guarantee that there will be a profit at all.

No education and no practical experience usually lead to comments like his.

The intent of the second amendment was to prevent us from ever being subjects of tyranny... to give teeth to our other freedoms should they ever attempt to strip us of them.

It exists to prevent taxation without representation.
Does anyone on this forum (in the US) feel represented by there representatives? I doubt half of them know their representatives names.

It exists for our defence of a free state against any who would seek to rule it by force... be that a neighboring state, the federal government, or foreign entity.

I will not tell you it is none of your business because I enjoy the dialog and would hope to help you understand.

As for the notion that soft targets will not be struck because of a lack of easy access to guns is terribly myopic.

I have a shiny penny for the user who correctly identifies the worst school massacre in US history.

I dont "like" guns. And I dont like people who go in for negative stereotype / tantasy about millions of people they dont know.

I kept a gun handy at night when I lived in the USA. Considering events of my life experience, I'd be a fool not to.

No, kid - I just learned to read early, and didn't suffer from McCarthy and your gunenforced freedom to grovel to your masters.

From tyranny? You sure it wasn't to protect you temporarily from the Native Americans and 'Blacks' ? I think that's way more plausible and less fantastic delusion.

    Q. Why do Americans like guns.
    A. Perhaps it can be summed up by Samuel Colt..."God created all men, but Sam Colt made them equal."

    Guns empower people.

There is no where on the planet where there are absolutely no guns. Criminals have guns in every country in the world. The only people who actually give up their guns are the law-abiding citizens.

I don't care what you "think"... and the founders were not delusional.

I might buy into that argument 1) if the government had ever acted against the citizens in its 229 year history without majority consent, and 2) if every citizen didn't have his/her own personal definition of 'tyranny'. We have people running around wishing and hoping for Obama to do something they can call "tyranny" so they can 'take their country back'. They don't know what real tyranny is. And, I suspect, they don't understand how inconsequential their little popguns are going to be in the event the government ever does go rogue.

I guess you had mono when they went over the civil war.

We have not been subject to "real tyranny" because we are armed. That is sort of the point.

Please tell me the strategy for taking on 100,000,000 well armed pissed off people spread out over 3,794,000 sq miles with under 3,000,000 troops! Tell me how any government buildings could no be over run! The military would have zero elected leadership in less the 20 min. unless they were taking orders from an exiled leadership.

That is why it will never happen. Besides you have some wet dream of the military killing the citizens.

By the way we can get into tactics after you come up with a working strategy.

Oh wait the strategy is in place... Disarm the people.

You do realize I hope that if our little pop guns are inconsequential there should be no reason to consider banning them.
The grabbers need to actually think their case through and decide whats what. Either they're weapons of mass destruction on one hand or inconsequential pop guns on the other.
Trying to have it both ways is intellectual dishonesty.

And of course nobody gets raped or murdered in America, nor does anyone get exported by the CIA to be tortured in foreign parts. Yes, a truly civilized country.

    (Edited for sarcasm)

Roelath's point went completely over your head. Your assertion about the CIA actually buttresses his argument. I'm sure he appreciates your support.
