I am aware that the FBI didn't find that George's profiling of Martin was racially motivated. . .and I tend to agree. . .I think it was just motivated by stupidity and desire to be a hero!

And you're saying Zimmerman wasn't frightened. . .yet his statements to the dispatcher seem to imply a lot of paranoia (i.e., he is coming for me, I don't know what his deal is, he has his hand in his belt. . .etc. . .). I bet IF he hadn't had his gun by his side, he would NOT have followed the kid!

And I believe that the FBI would CERTAINLY not find Trayvon Martin's action motivated by race either, unless you consider that, as a young Black man, he would have been aware that he had a much greater chance than almost anyone to become the victim of a crime. . .but not necessarely by a a person of another race!

But I am certain that I would have been frightened if a stocky stranger had followed me, first in his car, than by foot, for the last 15 minutes!

What on earth are you talking about? He wasn't "frightened to death" because Martin was a young black male, he was frightened to death because the person who had just cold cocked him and broken his nose was now on top of him beating him and after yelling for help 18 times during this 45+ second beating the person isn't stopping and is now beating his head against a concrete sidewalk.

He had walked around this man for over a minute and the person never got out of the vehicle. He then ran off and lost the person and ended up at the apartment with the person no longer in sight and didn't even go inside. No he did not display the behavior of someone who believed they were in any kind of imminent danger.

So now Blacks can attack any Hispanic/White in a "preemptive counter attack"...................what absurdity you engage in.

You can ONLY attack and assault someone in self defense if you believe you are in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death. To claim Martin had any such fear is not supported by the evidence. You can't do it "preemptively".

    - - - Updated - - -

It was motivated by the rash of crime in the neighborhood.

Sorry, still no proof that Martin initiated the fight!
And still no proof that it wasn't Martin who was screaming for help!
And the injuries sustained by Zimmerman do not support the fairy tale of a "savage beating!"

And there is NO PROOF at all that he went back to the apartment. . .in fact, if he had, and if he intended to beat up the "old creepy guy," why would he have stayed on the phone with his girl friend, and why didn't he pick up some kind of weapon, and why didn't he drop off his can of tea and skittles to have his hands free for the fight?

I also do NOT see in the timeline where Trayvon Martin "walked around" Zimmerman's truck for a whole minute, unless you consider the minute it took Martin to go by GZ's car on his way to the apartment!

So, we'll see how that story is presented and SUPPORTED by evidences at the trial!

Once again. . .THERE IS NO PROOF of who initiated the first physical contact! So, stop repeating "scenarios" based ONLY on the testimony of the ONLY Person who would benefit from lying!

    Could well be like that.

Martin played a dangerous sport - attacking someone- and he died as a result.

Lots of people make stupid decisions and die as a result. Martin made a stupid AND illegal decision. Zimmerman acrted within the law.

Not Murder and not Manslaughter. To be mansalughter hae must have acted unlawfully and the zimmerhaters can;t tell us where he broke the law prior to the first contact. Indeed they actually INVENT laws to try and explain their way out of it.

    Voluntary manslaughter

Voluntary manslaughter occurs either when the defendant kills with malice aforethought (intention to kill or cause serious harm), but there are mitigating circumstances which reduce culpability, or when the defendant kills only with an intent to cause serious bodily harm. Voluntary manslaughter in some jurisdictions is a lesser included offense of murder. The traditional mitigating factor was provocation; however, others have been added in various jurisdictions.

Where do people come up with this nonsense about Martin circling Z's truck for over a minute. How silly can people be

Isn't that kind of private information that has no place being released in the open forum?

And why should we believe you anyway?

And what difference does it make? I personally do not judge a person by his political party, as much as I judge him/her by what his statements/commentaries are, and whether he/she makes sense, and support his/her position/beliefs with factual, credible sources.

Still, I find this to be a personal attack, and a nasty one, as it infringed on a member's privacy.

So. . .you still think that, by repeating the same "supposition" at nauseum, without proof that Martin was the first to "attack," you will convince enough people not to look any further in the evident conflicts between GZ's story and forensic evidences?

Oh well. . .whatever you think will work!

Since your entire argument is based on what ifs and inventing laws its all moot really.

And I don't care what you believe, Sab.

I think you are using dirty games to get back to people who dare to disagree with you. And I will express my opinion about it as I wish.

Agreed, but if a battered house wife perceived that a threat was presented and imminent by the husband, then she could stage a preemptive strike just as travon did.

But simply shooting without any imminent threat is indeed, murder. In the context of african americans being most likely victimized by whites according to the FBI, and him being followed and confronted by one in a threatening manner it could have been construed in the same way..

African Americans should be able to stage preemptive counter attacks against whites, if they are presented to them in a threatening manner.

By that I mean, if they do what Zimmerman did. He stalked the young minor in a threatening manner, which provoked a violent encounter.

    Damn you, Sab!!!!

Can we please just be honest, with outselves. Is Zimmerman guilty? YES! Guilty as sin, due process not withstanding. But, and this is vitally important: while the Zim Man might not be as white as we would like, Travon IS (was) black. That's not even debated.

So what can we assume from that? Trayvon is black, ergo a gang banger. Zimmerman had a gun, ergo godly, bordering on sainthood, praise babyjesus. So, the not quite white guy, protecting we Caucasians from the evil (Just look at them!! They're black, evil, non-white-hat-wearing, devils spawned of Satan)

So, indeed. He killed that Negro, which is the very epitome of INNOCENT!!!

Ok but I think Zimmerman is an immature (*)(*)(*)(*) with a desperate need to be seen as a hero but I think he is innocent of all charges put to him. I

No sweat. We all have our thoughts on him. Me? I'm thinking his name is Zimmerman and he's facing charges in which neither guilt nor not-guilt is as yet undetermined.

    But that's just me.

What a load of bs. They had no disagreement to be settled. They didn't even know each other. In fact, Zimmerman was assaulted in his own neighborhood, and found his own head being slammed into the concrete by a stranger who even according to witnesses, wasn't stopping. Martin should have stopped after knocking Zimmerman down. But he didn't. That's when he signed his own death warrant.
