The victims are almost always unarmed. ;)

There's a reason why mass shooters target public schools instead of gun stores, or police stations.

Heres a better question. What do police stations, NRA meetings, and firing ranges have in common?
They are all well armed places and have never had mass shootings.

It's annoying to me that this is so obvious, and yet the mindless left doesn't grasp it.

Has anyone else notices how many mass shooting happen in Federal Gun Free zones?

Men with guns. American style mass shootings need guns.

What a strange comment. So do UK style mass shootings, not require guns?

Also the perpetrators become historical figures. When the smoke clears their names are remembered. They become infamous. They are someone powerful and are remembered as a monster that caused so much pain and misery. The victims names are generally forgotten. They become statistics. Who they really were is remembered for a while, but eventually they are just one of several innocents slain by the infamous beast.

    All shootings need guns.
Mass shootings are more of an American thing There's even a term for a specific sub-type of it. Going Postal defines work-based mass shootings as opposed to school. based or random ones.

All oppressive dictatorships need a monopoly on gun ownership.

Schools are such places, there's never any reason to bring a gun there, that is, unless somebody decides to show up with a gun, and then you need to have somebody else with a gun so they maybe cancel each other out, hopefully without too much collateral damages. But, as long as nobody is bringing the guns to school in the first place, it's pointless to have guns there at all, like it never even occurs to anybody. Seems like, what is needed is some device that sits in a classroom all inconspicuous, that if somebody brings a gun, then the device transforms into a gun, but then transforms back into whatever it was before once the perpetrator is immobilized. Do that have something like that, is that even possible?

well, the mass shootings committed by Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao only prove that when they hold the hammer, everyone becomes a nail.

I was thinking that they were all ended by good guys with guns. After all, people call the police because they are armed with guns, not pixie dust and unicorn farts.

I can tell you right now if the Teachers were armed you wouldn't have such people attempting to go into a school and start shooting.

I live in a very well armed town and we have almost zero crime. The police teach a three day Firearm Safety Course once a year and parents and their kids at the age of 12 come down to learn and the kids get their FID's. I went to this course with my Dad when I was 12.

I live in Western Massachusetts where just about everyone is armed and well all hunt.

As well it is well known in the criminal circles that attempting to B&E a Home in my town is a NO GO as a while back two men passing through from New York broke into a friend of our families home. The men carried a .22 Rifle and a .38 Hand Gun.

They didn't know our friends were home with their 3 kids as they park their cars next door at their barn.

The men were caught downstairs by a Mom and Dad sporting 2 AR-15's with NATO ammo. One man with the .38 walked towards the Mother saying she wouldn't shoot him and the other man who left his .22 Rifle on the kitchen counter went to grab it and the Dad put a round through his shoulder and in his Elbow.

The blood spray caused the guy with the .38 to give up and the cops came and arrested them.

Needless to say we don't have people breaking into our homes.

Which is yet another example of what I have written about constantly. There is idea that having unrestricted arms to civilians will always result in death. Wrong. Most criminals when confronted by an armed civilian will flee, or give up. Criminals don't want to get shot anymore than anyone else does. But if they are the only ones armed, then people get shot, because they are safe.

In the words of Thomas Sowell: Gun control is like OSHA for criminals.

I want the world to be less safe for criminals. Then just like this example, they'll give up or not even try to commit a crime in the first place.

Name 5 in the UK in the last 5 years. And I'm being generous.

There have been 5 in the USA in the last month. And the schools, colleges and universities are on summer vacation, as far as I am aware.

Look at you counting your blessings that UK murderers choose other tools to murder innocent people. Dead is dead however you arrive at that permanent medical record entry. Cheers. http://www.citizensreportuk.org/reports/murders-fatal-violence-uk.html

Don't know but wondering what the national or comparable region of the USA has as a murder rate compared to the UK?

Tell that to all the other innocent people killed by American drone strikes and cavalierly referred to as collateral damage.
