Read my signature. It is as succinct a summary of what Einstein believed as he ever recorded.
Was it you that gave it to me?

I believe in your case, it is the opposite of truth. It's all you know afterall.
Ain't that the truth. Yes, yes it is.

What would that be, do what one needs to do to make more money?

One doesn't have to believe in a god and be religious. Confused?

I believe that is a falsehood in PF terms. Hell in God's terms.

I haven't been since many threads ago.

Then I find it strange you bother replying to my posts not even directed at you from four threads ago.

Yes, I know what pantheism is.

And that is not part of the definition.

Why, given the definition of pantheism, is it a religion? What specifically about calling the Universe a God is religious?

I think you meant to say "a lack of evidence is not evidence of absence". That saying holds only when you shouldn't expect the evidence to exist. A lack of evidence when evidence should be found IS evidence of absence. After all, isn't me not being able to see a dragon in my room evidence that a dragon is not in my room?

Why do you believe even the right doesn't believe in morals tests which ensure only the most honest have the most wealth?

Is it any wonder why it merely takes the abomination of hypocrisy whenever Lord Satan is in charge on our plane of existence.

some people know enough to ask questions if they want to discover any sublime Truth (value) discoverable through argumentation.

Nope you are confuse with dairymooo

Every one who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe-a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble.

Not only has it been proven beyond reasonable doubt that God exist but that God's existence has been pin pointed to be definitely REAL and soon Sodom and Gomorrah will also be proven to be true as they have already pin pointed its location.

I guess do you and your friends have spirit? I know I have.

Quote Posted by Akhlut on pg. 46 #445 of Part 3 in response to my post

The Gospel of Luke, tells us that during the time of the Roman emperor, Augustus, decreed that a census should be taken throughout the Roman Empire, so all had to return to their own ancestral towns to register for this census. And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David's acient home, and there Jesus was born. (Post by Mitt Ryan)

There was no universal tax census until 74 CE. So, that's obviously totally wrong. (Post by Akhlut in response to my post above)
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope...sorry but you're wrong. The doctor (Dr. Luke) has proven himself to be a reliable historian, as demonstrated by famed scholar and archaeologist, Sir William Ramsey.

The census that Luke was referring to was taken around 4-5 BC about the time of the birth of Jesus.

Scholars have accepted Luke's record of this census (and therefore the Bible) to continue to be regarded as 100% trustworthy.

And so I have no idea where you come up with this 74 CE census. Have you been visiting an atheist website or what?

You have "faith" is in what you choose as your interpretationin what you choose to think is the word of god.
Now, you could be right that it is the word of god, but you are still placing your faith in yourself, that you know exactly what it all means.

The 'unquestioning' part is something you seem to gloss over. Like, not questioning your own perfection, your inerrant raadin'. And not, of course, questioning why it is that if you were right,
every last single data point shows you are wrong.

If you were right, it would be reasonable to think the earth itself would show you are right.
When there is proof that you are wrong, then like I said, your unquestioning faith is in yourself.

let me make a prediction: you wont spend half a second exploring the possibility that I might be right and you, wrong on this.

making the whole story even more ridiculous doesnt help.

Akhlut is correct... That census part of the story is an embellishment.

The first universal census wasn't conducted until 74 CE by Vespasian and Titus. Roman censuses cared nothing for genealogies; they were based on property.
