This silly god saved Noah who ended up drunk and naked and had to be dragged to his tent by his kids. The world today is full of what you and your kind, like Westboro Baptist Church, call sinners. The audacity of your

arrogance in making a claim as to the condition of the world today verses before god slaughtering everybody at the time of the flood is astounding. I know that it is your sincerest wish that people take you as some sort of

authority on history... but arrogant and audacious statements such as this prevent rational people from being able to do that ... in other words only the choir (Mitt) is listening to you.

I do not now and never will worship mass murderers.. but you go ahead and have at it!

Well since satan hasn't put out a book of contradictions like your god, neither you or I can accurately state his position concerning your silly allegations. Read your silly book again you will see that your god has killed way more people than satan according to it.

Nice to see you are a consistent christian fraud by not using the QUOTE function as usual... how proud your killer god must be of you.

As I said I don't have to twist anything about your post you are doing a great job.
Yes I am a Christian that is why I am able to understand your twisting post that you yourself can not.

And here is a question to you why are the Amalekites so evil that generation after generation they kept producing evil Amalekites? Do you think the Amalekites were obeying God's commandment 'thou shall not kill" or do they even recognize God? If they do not recognize God then why would they want to exterminate the Israelite why they refused generation after generation to live in peace with the Israelite? What kind of people are the Amalekites that they would be producing evil babies?

There is no contradiction evil must be confronted head on and God has gave us the motivation and will to resist and defend ourselves against evil.

God is not contradicting Himself is fighting evil consider a contradiction to you???

Yes God did not actually did this the Amalekites did it to themselves.

Babies are only innocent if their parents want them to be and they can be evil if their parents want them to be.

The best solution is to save the souls of those poor innocent Amalekites babies from their evil parents. These babies only hope is with God and God took away the babies of the evil Amalekites to deny them the opportunity to continue to produce more evil.

    Yes they did

Yes because the main target is to solve the evil Amalekite way of life and their shear hatred for the Israelite.
    [

Yes not all tribes did but they were unlike the evil Amalekites.

Nothing is justifiable today but not in ancient times. And today we still see some people who act like the Amalekite with total disregard for human lives and innocent babies turning innocent babies into extremist terrorist.

If you go through all of those stories you will understand how tough life was back then and the survival of good people depend on their will to face evil head on.

    Two possible conclusion would be:
    1. God took the responsibility to make tough decisions for good people to survive and have a fighting chance. Today that fruit has prosper civil good society are now able to stand up against tyranny, evil dictators, and irrational leaders.
    2. These stories were written by man inspired and authored by God so that future generation may know never to allow evil to take over this world.

Try again. North Korea is nominally an atheist country. In practise there are still Buddhists, Confusionists, those who follow Shamanist practises and a few Christians.
Japan is only nominally atheist. There are Christian Churches in Japan. I have a friend who was a missionary there. It is estmated that about 1-2% of Japanese are Christian. Shintoism (Way of the Gods) includes many minor gods who, in the Shinto Creation myth asked a male and female to work together to create Japan. Todays it's more a way of life, but 'gods' are there.

There is no country that I know of where spirituality, in the form of belief in a god - either personal, familial or national, does not exist. Therefore an 'atheist' country is atheist in name only.
A truly atheist nation or world is where the concept or acceptance of a Supreme Being does not exist.

    SO THERE:worship:

    1. What makes you think that the Amalekites knew about Jahweh? What makes you think the Amalekites even existed? What makes you think that the Amalekites were much different to many of the other tribes that saw the Hebrews as a threat? The Amalekites were no more evil than other nations around.
To Abraham Jahweh said that the 'sin of the Amorites had not yet reached it's full measure'. Yet in the 600+ years to come nowhere do we read of the Amalekites being given the chance to repent. Nowhere do we read of other nations being sent Jahwehs 'missionaries'. This Hebrew force comes into the 'world' at the drop of Jahwehs hat, and the rest are expected to bow the knee to them. Seems unfair to me.

    Still it's only a story.
Most of their wars with the Hebrews were in association with other tribes/nations. As far as I remember it is not until Saul and David that they went alone against the Hebrews, and lost.

All we have about the Amalekites is from the Bible!!!!!!

The command in question is Gods command not to punish children for the sins of their parents. The Amalekite men killed some Israelites. The Israelites killed a bunch of people too.

This does not make the babies of the Amalekites evil. God is violating the his own command by punishing babies for the sins of the parents.

Why is God contradicting his own command ?

So what are you saying here ? All we need to do is label some person evil and it is ok to kill their wife, children and babies as well ?

This is what the Jihadists believe using the same logic as you do.

How did the babies - "do it to themselves"

The best solution for a group of people who are "evil" as defined by WanRen or "the Bible" is to kill them all.

The Church was torturing and killing people a few centuries ago. They killed these people because they disagreed with them. Anyone who disagreed with the church was considered "EVIL", controlled by Satan, and so on.

Clearly you agree with this. Extremist Islamic folk agree with you as well.

    .

Today is no different. There are evil people - people who do not worship your God, just like back then.

Your belief is exactly how Islamic extremists turn people into terrorists.( If people are evil, as defined by some Book, then killing that person is justified- even if they are babies because somehow the evil of the parents has contaminated the child)

You say the Amalekites had total disregard for the lives of innocent babies but, you are the same.

Your solution for people you do not like (claiming they are evil in some way) is to not only kill those people but their babies as well. Your reasoning is that these babies will be better off with God.

He knows nothing of the bible. You and him think all the children, babies, and fetuses were eaten. So don't say he or you know anything about the bible. You 2 just blow smoke and are a tool of satan.
You claim to be a christian today. Christians don't think world wide cannibalism ever existed.

As long as you keep posting your deception. I will continue to point out your deception as satan would want you do keep doing for him.
Saying you are on the side of God, while deceiving people is satan's work.

You REALLY think there's much difference in religious extremism???....the religions themselves don't matter....the extremism is the SAME....Christian, Muslim, Jewish, anything.

If the Hebrews had had airliners and the Amalekites had had 100 floor-high office buildings....how do you think a guy like WanRen would explain a 9/11.... 3000 years later?

This was the point. Back in the day some religious leader said "God says- these people are evil so go out and kill all of them- women, children, and infants - everyone to get rid of this evil)

Today we have religious leaders saying "God says" and this is used as justification to kill people.

    There is no difference.

But I wonder...if WanRen were sent back in time to become part of the Hebrews, if when "ordered by God" (or by the religious leaders of the Hebrews to be more accurate)....

if he would kill an Amalekite child?

We have people that are brainwashed to the point where they would do that these days. Certainly he has put forth justification for killing babies that is just as applicable today.

    Deuteronomy 13 -
It is clear what God commands. Why not do it today.

He would HAVE to answer "Yes...I would kill an Amalekite child". He's said as much in his apologia. He declares the God-ordered infanticide of the Amalekites to be a 'holy and righteous' thing (since nothing God orders can be otherwise, right?)

So let's see if he WILL answer the question-

"WanRen, if you had been a Hebrew at the time of the war with the Amalekites....would you have killed Amalekite children and babies?....Yes or No?"

    (Somehow...I don't think he'll answer that directly...do you? Or more frighteningly...he will)

This is NOT what we were debating.

You have done it again!! LOL!!!

The ISSUE is that 95% of ALL CHRISTIAN'S do NOT believe in all the stories written in the Bible. Specifically some of the stories 95% of all Christian's DO NOT BELIEVE are in Genesis and the whole Flood and Arc story, Adam and Eve, creation of everything in 6 days and as well they don't believe in Revelation.

    Yeah...it is kinda sad...and embarrassing.

Personally I could care less what a person believes it is only when they attempt to force ME to believe idiocy and attempt to change LAWS in order to further their beliefs.

It seems like every year we have to read about some backwater town in some Midwest state that has a High School that refused to teach Evolution or is teaching Christian Biblical Stories.

    THAT...is wrong.

Kids today are not educated in what freedom and liberty means. They have no clue for the most part that the constitution and bill of rights are about "freedom from religion"... that religious beliefs are not to be forced on people through law.

The know what the statue of liberty is but do not know what liberty means or what the rule of law is. The have no clue that every civilized country has the rule of law as the basis for their legal system.

I can tell you that the French (who gave us that statue) know what liberty is. If their government tries to legislate against freedom the whole country goes on strike.

The rule of law is based in part on the golden rule "do unto others" which simply put means. If you do not want others forcing their religious beliefs on you then you have a moral obligation not to force your beliefs on others.

The second part of the lack of education is in Logic/Philosophy. How many kids graduating these days can tell you what a logical fallacy is ?
Politicians are committing these almost daily it seems but how are folks supposed to be able to refute dumb and fallacious arguments when they have not been educated in these things.

There was a reason why the Church destroyed or shut down all the schools of philosophy. Some of these schools had been around for 700 years.

The Church did not want anyone questioning their dogma. 1700 years later and we are still not teaching this stuff to our children. Go figure.

First let me correct you, the pyramids are in Egypt and Egypt is not part of the Holy Land, the Holy Land is in Israel. The Land of Israel is explicitly referred in the Tanakh as "Holy Land"

Now as far as the pyramids are concerned they are not mentioned as such in the canonical Scriptures. But in the Apocrypha, which is approved as canonical by the Coptics and Catholics, it does mention pyramids in 1 Maccabees 13:28-38. It is written that Simon Maccabeus built seven pyramids as monuments to his parents.

The Bible, however, does not explicitly state that the Hebrews built pyramids; nor does it use the word "pyramid" in association with the Hebrews.

But nevertheless we may have an opinion that the children of Israel worked on the pyramids, but that is all we can do.

Thank you! and have a blessed day yourself!

Yeah...it is alarming just how uneducated the majority of people who are EXTREMELY RELIGIOUS are as even here some fight with me tooth and nail over such things as simple as what an APE is. LOL!!!

But what such people are truly lacking in education is EXACTLY HOW THE BIBLE WAS CREATED.

Some Christian's don't even now that the New Testament was CREATED by a Biblical Canon as they think the New Testament was somehow written entirely by Apostles or Jesus.

They also don't know that not one single Gospel exists that was written by the Apostle and not one single Gospel existing can be verified as to what is written in it being what the original writing done by the Apostle said.

They are all copies or copies of copies of copies that had to be written from MEMORY as the originals and 3 to 10 copies after were destroyed by the Roman's thus men wrote them again from MEMORY

That is WHY I think it's ridiculous when some members here get all huffy when I or anyone else posts something out of the Bible where I might have missed a word or I posted the basic meaning rather than a word for word post.

They have said that to do so is changing the word of GOD...LOL!!!

Tough to do when no one even KNOWS what the original words in the Gospels were?
