But I choose to use the meanings that are supported by the facts and make sense of the ideas, that the Jews will accept Christ as The Elijah, returned in accord with Malachi 4:6.

This is almost hilarious as when they said the earth was only 3-4000 yrs old now they are posting charts of evolution (after stating humans didn't evolve) showing cavemen from 400000 years ago. Also now adam and eve are on record as co-existing with cavemen.

LOL, Well you hit it out of the park on that one. Sometimes the absurdity of an argument is best illustrated by re-packaging that absurdity and sending it right back. Just goes to show that with enough creative interpretation, you can make words say almost anything (while simultaneously stripping them of any explanatory power of their own without that "interpretation".)

Cognitive thinking is what we are to teach these kids, so they learn to share and give and help out willingly.

 

Dave, dear. what you call 'self-centredness' in children is merely survival stuff. it's neither good nor evil, it's just 'stay alive'. And kids grow out of it naturally, when they start to engage theory of mind, and realise they need to adapt to get ahead. Any child who lives with other human beings will naturally learn the graceful art of compromise - again, for reasons of SURVIVAL. You seem to want to attribute human instincts to external agency ... as though you yourself have some sort of discomfort with your own humanity.

I DID blow it on the "4:22" thing....I should have used "April 22nd...first Earth Day celebrated" or some other even for "4/22".

But basically, none of the rest is "inaccurate". They are all words or terms used in other references.....so they hold the EXACT SAME "validity" as any of Cupid Dave's "interpretations" of lines of Scripture.

Pick a verse at random...and I can easily do the same thing he does, and all I need is a self-proclaimed "ability to discern The Truth" from Scripture and I am JUST AS VALID an itnerpreter of the Bible as he is.
