And when you get struck by lightning, which is avoidable, or get food
poisioning, which is avoidable are you surprised that they happened?

No, because you took a risk that was avoidable. To think you didn't give
consent is about as lame as it comes.

More important, this is about pregnancy, which is avoidable.

I don't think you REALLY believe that.

Few "pro-lifers" REALLY do, actually. And I've shown that numerous times in posts on this forum, lately in my "Quickly..." post, where NOT ONE "pro-lifer" admits that they consider abortion to be "murder" and that they would want it punished AS "murder" if abortion were outlawed.

Because they know what it would force them to say about women who self-induce. And if they are pro-capital punishment.....how even worse it would look for them to actually be honest and consistant....IF they really believe what they say.

    - - - Updated - - -

Note that....how many times have we seen "pro-lifers" analogize pregnancy....to something NEGATIVE? Or even as a "punishment"?

BS, a person can be killed by lightening anytime including when they're indoors.

    http://www.weatherimagery.com/blog/can-lightning-strike-inside-my-house/

How is a person supposed to test to find out of the food they purchased was poisoned by the food producers actions (or lack of actions)? How many Americans do you think test for Salmonella in the food they consume?

How many women are capable of testing to see if they're ovulating or if the man is capable of impregnating them? Without this specific biological information it is impossible for a woman to know if she can get pregnant. Most of the time a woman can't get pregnant at all and sexual relations are perfectly safe.

Of course one of the greatest problems for the anti-abortionists is that they place all of the blame and responsibility on the woman because they don't give a damn about the woman. Anti-abortionists are typically very misogynistic in their opinions and beliefs.

It was a post you put up with a url. Ryan was very clear about not wanting
    to ban contraception.

I most certainly do. It's takes the life of a child who's done nothing deserving
    of being put to death.

Exactly. And it can be avoided, too.

Thanks for making my point even better.

We were talking about RICK SANTORUM. Who is this "Ryan" you have introduced to the conversation? And by the way, you didn't post a link in a post I put up.

Your link says in big letters that he thinks the states should have the right to ban birth control. He has also been quoted as saying that birth control does bad things. Do you really think if he were a dictator non-dependent upon getting votes that he would NOT ban birth control?

and typically again you cherry pick comments in order to bolster your own completely BS opinion.

Now when are you going to provide a single shred of evidence to support a single opinion you have .. i'll keep asking until you either put up or shut up.

Yes they do. But where did it say he wanted to do away with contraception?
I mean besides nowhere except your talking point that are wrong?
You know as well as I that SOME do.
First of all he's not a dictator. Secondly, since he's not on record for wanting to
ban contraception and has said he doesn't want to ban contraception I have no
reason to believe that he would.

No I didn't. I answered your post and you can't come up with anything to refute.
Either put up or shut up. It's that easy.

you have answered nothing at all, everything your write is just your opinion with not a single piece of evidence to support it

and you cannot help yourself can you, yet again you cherry pick comments to suit.

You far stated that abortion is murder without a single shred of evidence to support that point of view, given that murder is a legal definition which does not apply to abortion. The problem is that "human being" has no relevancy under the law and it is a matter of personal opinion. "Human beings" are not protected by the law or the US Constitution but "Persons" are.
You have claimed that you have proved abortion is murder "many times" (post #177) but as yet have not produced a single one of those "many times" as evidence, in fact no evidence at all, you simply repeated the same things -

Taking a life for personal gain or desire, which is what abortion is, is murder.
To barbarically slaughter innocent life, which is what abortion is, is murder.
Selfishly killing someone who has done nothing deserving being put to death,
which is what abortion is, is murder.

and still nothing to support these opinions.

Then we have you asserting that consent to sex is consent to pregnancy, yet more things your claim without a shred of evidence to support it.

Then you moved on to cherry picking and misrepresenting not only my comments but other posters to.

So for the final time of asking .. put up your evidence, show you links to citations, legal findings, law, in fact anything, because so far all you have done is lose all credibility.

You can't kill something that isn't a life. A zygote is to a child as an acorn is to a tree.

The dude thinks it is ok for the States to ban contraception. What is with the disingenuous ignorance ?

Santorum is an religious extremist who thinks it is ok for him to force his personal religious beliefs on others.

Not only does this extend to laws on abortion but he also thinks it is ok to ban contraception.

    Get a grip.

I've got a grip. Children don't need to be put to death for something
they didn't do that's deserving of being put to death.

Just because someone disagrees with you it doesn't make them a
religious extremist. However, I believe anyone who thinks abortion
(the taking of innocent life) is good that they are a far more
dangerous extremist. At least Santorum doesn't want to kill anyone.
    That's all abortion does.

No? If Santorum had his way, birth control would be illegal, and that would mean more abortions.

You're mistaken. Santorum doesn't want to make birth control illegal. He's
on record of say he supports birth control. Where is the evidence of the
contrary? Can you provide any or are you repeating talking points that don't
    provide sources?

It would be interesting to know if Santorum went on record in support of birth control after Americans were appalled by this quote:

“One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country.” And also, “Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that’s okay, contraception is okay. It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

How can you say he "supports birth control"? He thinks it's dangerous and "not okay."

He's talking to Christians about how it's not okay for them to use birth
    control. That's how it's written.

Really wouldn't bother here Cady, the person you are debating with has never given anything other than their own opinion and when challenged to provide a single fact to support it has deflected and demeaned in order to run away from the relevant points .. I suspect that even now the poster will find some slippery way of denying what is in front of their face.

    Lol . .told you so.

Those ARE his beliefs...unless he tailors his speech (lies like a good christian) just to get votes from a certain group. Which is it?

And...is he a spiritual leader or a politician who must represent ALL his constituents ???

Wrong, his words-- “One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country,” --mean explicitly that he would talk about birth control as president. He has also said that states have the right ban it, which would allow for enforcement by the bedroom police. That's an extremist view, and it is "not okay" for you to keep your head in the sand about it.

Clearly you don't have a grip. First you feigned disingenuous denial about Santorum's stance on contraception (that he is ok with states banning it).

When I pointed out that indeed this is his position ( proving you wrong) and that he is forcing his extremist religious beliefs about contraception on others you start making unsubstantiated and fallacious claims in relation to abortion.

    Nice strawman.
