Seems like good old Ben has finally broken through the wall of Trump, pun intended. Also, evidently Bernie has no chance at all if Biden runs. Who seems to be gaining more favorability the more he retends to run without actually running. Other takes from this, Carly's flash is moving away and will fall to her doom, definitely if she brings in her CEO "credentials" again, which will finish her off. Rubio seems to be grabbing the people who are jumping from bush after his lack of gains after the Scott Walker crisis. ONE OTHER thing to note is RYAN is in the votes, showing that there is still a pool of voters who weren't around during Trumps Summer exlodaganza, as I have told another user here recently. Trump may stay in the race until after the next debate, but I think once more of the pool jumps on board for their preferred candidates, a lot of them will rise and fall now that the "hype" is over. I personally called it that Carson would be within the top candidates when people wrote him off immediately as Herman Cain 2.0, and then ignored him as not a serious competitor since he announce his candidacy, to the first debate, to the second debate, and now his "controversial" and also spun comments about Islam.
IBD/TIPP has a good rating of B among all polling firms and a slight lean toward Republicans. But I always preferred the RCP averages. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep..._republican_presidential_nomination-3823.html I do not think Sanders has much of a chance if a chance at all of winning the Democratic nomination. Oh sure, he may win Iowa and New Hampshire or not. But those two states are Lilly white and that is where Sanders gets almost all of his support. From white very liberal voters. Once past those two states, comes South Carolina and what I call the SEC primaries down south. Some 13 states where in quite a few blacks make up over half of all the Democratic Primary voters and they are very loyal to Hillary. You have South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Texas on 1 March where black make up 55-60% of all the Democratic Primary voters. North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee where blacks make up close to 40% and Colorado and Arkansas where black make up 20% of the Democratic primary voters. Louisiana comes on 5 March 2016 and blacks make up around 55% of the Democratic primary voters. Not good news for Sanders who has been polling around 5% of the black vote. I think one has to get past Iowa and New Hampshire to see what the real chances are for Sanders.
Me too. Trump +7 on the aggregate http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep..._republican_presidential_nomination-3823.html Carson does better on the head to head though: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_presidential_race.html
Carson won't get the nomination. He is perceived by GOP as an intellectual and such people are shunned by GOP voters. Carson does not appear uppity. This could marginally offset other negative characteristics.
No.clue why any of you are using real clear so tightly when it's aggregate quality control.includes some questionable sources and various criteria. Not saying it's bad but it's not to organized. Real clears ben contradicting a few recent polls as well that have good credibility.
Yes. The averages tends to nullify a skewed poll and each polling firm has a bit of different way they go about polling. Also averaging five or six polls together narrows the margin of error also.
Looking at one poll is not very accurate. To really be able to claim Carson ahead he would need to be leading in more than one poll.
Carson is doing very well, as is Trump. He also does much better in the head to head than Trump does. What's up with that? If he doesn't take the number one spot, he still might make a VP or he would probably make a terrific cabinet member.
Hillary, she is the one the "bright" ones like. But there are apparently not many of these folks as she seems to be suffering from "empty seat syndrome".
I am unsure which is more attractive...a man who thinks hes Gods gift to mankind, or a man that is used as a sleeping aid? Either way...we are screwed out of the White House. Now I get to play the best of the worst game...Sanders or Hillbill. Almost makes me wish Biden would step in.
My take on Carson is that he just would not make it in a general election. The support Carson and Fiorina are getting is from republicans that want to get in on the game of identity politics. Sad. I doubt anyone actually knows their policies if they have even given any. Carson does not have any executive experience to speak of. He would probably be a black version of Jimmy Carter as president. He has had maybe one or two good lines in the debates other than that he puts people to sleep.
Next week will be a big week for Biden as he will be offered the presidency if he can convince the dems in the Senate to convict 0bama of the high crime of treason. If the Senate dems agree the house will vote to impeach and Biden will run as the incumbent. It is clear to all but the brain dead that 0bama is in panic mode. While the Russians bomb our side in the Syrian war "0" is preaching total gun control like Australia has. 0bma and Kerry have insured that Iran will have the bomb and the first of their nuclear weapons will explode in NY City or DC, all thought only a crazy person would bomb the people who gave them the bomb.
Carson, I think I would prefer a governor or even a senator as VP depending on whom is the presidential nominee. Carson would fit HEW perfectly with his background. Trump is way too thin skinned and has too big an ego for me. I do like Carson's soft spokeness vs. Trump being bombastic. Carson I think is the type when he gets things done he wouldn't care who got the credit. You know who would have to get the credit in a Trump regime.
Carson is too nice and would get eaten alive by the dems in a general election. He would punk out worse than Romney. Nobody likes a bully but nobody votes for a punk.
If Ben Carson is the nominee, I'm voting Democrat no matter what. Draconian policies and people who support them should never get into the Presidency. And yes, that means I'm voting for Hillary in that case because at least with her, she may actually attempt some sort of social reform. It won't be much, but I think 2020 is when we can really get fresh blood in there.
hes so nice that he says something that causes controversy every 5 minutes. Theres a difference between not being bombastic and being nice.
I would love to see Carson head a team that rebuilds Obamacare. SCOTUS will never allow it to be repealed. Let's just FIX the darn thing, one "toe" at a time. Who better to do it than Carson?
Why should anyone give up when the truth is some people are just in love with idea of a black GOP candidate? If Carson were to actually be the frontrunner the republican establishment will easily topple him from the polls. They want Jeb as their candidate.
No body predicted Ben Carson to get this far. Read America the Beautiful. He is brilliant, humble, and stronger than anyone else in the race. He will ge the nomination and he WILL upset Hillary! BC2DC16!
