    Lol this is a joke.

Yes, using all the powers possible to prevent people from coming into the UK, that may harm its society and people and who dont agree with UKs values....While proceeding to migrate those people in anyway unvetted. from Syria, so that the Syrians can live in the UK harming people while openly not agreeing with the UKs values.

    I mean wtf.

Why do you think Syrians coming into the UK are unvetted?

Because their country is in shambles and there is no way to verify who they are because documents have been destroyed and new ones faked.

The funny thing is, if it's a Muslim leader who says vile things, I can bet you a petition won't go up to ban him from the UK.

And the government wouldn't respond to it either.

    Fact.

Right so as I will point out again they are being vetted, just that somebody on a US forum thinks they know better than the british Home Secretary.

Gee, were so lucky to have you guys I will write a letter to the Times directly voicing your opinion!

You do that. It may save lives in the future. Just do you know, the San Bernardino terrorist was also vetted.

Hahaha I hope they do and then he wins the election. It sure would make for a nice little diplomatic mess for the UK.

Seems you dont understand the difference between claiming something is being done and actually showing it is.

So i will ask you what "documents" are they checking twice? Or can you just admit you failed for a Politicians promise?

I just proved the OP wrong, Syrian Refugees are being vetted before being allowed into the UK. Are you suggesting I should take the uniformed panty wetting opinions I find on forums above an elected member of Parliament?

Then maybe instead of criticizing UK vetting you should worry about US vetting, or maybe accept the fact that sticking to our values will cost us lives. It may well cost us our lives, do you value the freedoms enjoyed by us enough?

No I proved my government is vetting Syrian Refugees, you however have only hysteria and paranoia to prove otherwise. The logical conclusion is that you will not except anything unless you check it yourself, I put faith in democracy and the democratic process. When it goes wrong I vote them out.

I wouldn't allow Trump into the UK... nor Bibi Netanyahu into the US.

Trump is a real embarrassment for the US. Anyone can see he's not mature enough to sit at the grown-up's table but for some reason people seem determined to keep him in the limelight. He's a bit like roadkill - it's disgusting but you can't help looking.

You know the process because it's been repeatedly posted on this forum, and in detail.

That is the problem, right here. Way too many conservatives are gutless cowards. They could not care less about the values of America, if 'Ahmed the Terrorist' might put anyone at risk on these shores. Somehow many Americans got the idea that the only risks a citizen ought to bear for the values of democracy, ought to be borne only by soldiers overseas. We are not made of Churchillian blood, swear and tears and they think we can't handle some extra risk to keep our collective values strong.

Vetting is vetting. It doesn't matter which country is doing it. They are privy to the same info or lack thereof. I am glad your politicians are so trustworthy that they wouldn't dare lie to their electorate. There is no law that says a country HAS to take in refugees. The U.K. Can take them all. That would be good since you have thoroughly vetted them and they are good to go.

Again your claims prove.. nothing. How the heck is asking what documents are being checked equate to "hysteria" or "paranoia". You might blindly trust someone with a position of authority but some do not.
