Yes, Trump's plan is part of his typical gibberish. Even if it were a good idea to keep all Muslims out, his "just ask them" plan is a joke.

Yes, he said end all Muslim immigration to the U.S., for an indefinite but theoretically temporary time period. And, more important to the point, his plan is to simply ask them if they are Muslim.

Does it not bother you that a government would bar someone from entering their country purely because of his political views? I agree, as a sovereign nation they should be permitted control over customs, but that's separate from the question of whether Trump's exclusion would be a good/liberal idea.

It seems to me to be the exact same mentality which Trump espouses. How do two wrongs make a right? If someone's ideas are abhorrent, ought you adopt them yourself?

You combat Trump by setting the right example.

You apparently did not read my entire post, but just the first few words. Yes, like I said, for an indefinite but theoretically temporary time period. Until (and he offers no plan for this) we "can figure out what's going on."

Well, we see what a great job they did. She lied about her address and they didn't even know.

Actually... ABC news got it wrong on that.

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/female-san-bernardino-shooter-tashfeen-malik/story?id=35589386

Correction (Dec. 5): An earlier version of this report said Tashfeen provided a nonexistent address to U.S. officials when she applied for a fiance visa. Local residents say the version of the address provided is not precise, but the family does own a house in the neighborhood. This report was also updated Friday evening with new information from the Farook family attorney about how Malik and Farook met.

You mean kinda like you're a Briton on a US Forum bellyaching about an American citizen (Trump)?

Silly UK. They "may" and they "can", but they WON'T.

It would if the "hold" had some reasonable standard that was not plagued by an even worse vetting problem. "Are you a Muslim" is not going to add any level of security. It is feel-good political talk. Unless people who would blow us up would not lie in order to do it, Trump's plan is even more flawed than the current vetting process. And there is no way he's dumb enough to not know that. He's playing his usual "talk tough and neverming practical applications" game. It shows nearly as much contempt for his voting base as it does for Muslims.

Oh, my bad. I thought you were smart enough to realize Trump is the subject of this thread.

If you can only read the headline maybe best you do not comment, the op incorrectly stated that Syrian Refugees were not being vetted before being admitted to the UK, I corrected him on it. Simple.
