It looks like Trump may be planning on being a no show at the presidential debates. Honestly, the idea of a debate determining the election is a sham. All it does is rig the process unfairly towards lawyers.

 

An opinion piece from a Democrat governor containing no statements from Trump or his campaign does not reasonably lead to any conclusion of "Trump to Skip Debates." At the very least, the thread should be retitled with the actual article headline, "Trump Could Win Pennsylvania, May Not Debate, Rendell Says." (emphasis added)

Your thread is improperly titled, and the linked article in the OP does not support the title with any facts whatsoever, just the singular opinion of a Democrat governor. He participated in 10-12 debates in the primaries, so your claim that he "skipped the RNC debates" is a gross distortion.

I suspect he'll probably show up but he can't debate Hillary on the issues and any more of the tactics he used on Rubio/Cruz/ect. will simply bury him. The audience will include hardcore Democrats as well as totally disaffected Republicans. He'd be better off staying home.

I prefer Trump to Clinton. However, Americans are used to there being about 3 presidential debates. If Trump doesn't debate he will lose in a landslide. Not willing to debate would look incredibly weak. He can try to sugarcoat it by saying "the media is biased, bla bla bla" and his base will defend him, but that won't sell well with swing voters.

I am virtually certain that he will refuse to debate. When he has to have a serious discussion about policy, he falls flat on his face. And being across the stage from the biggest policy wonk in history is not a place he's going to want to be.

I don't know if the OP is correct or not, but Donald Trump would probably look like the fool he is in any debate with Hillary Clinton. On the other hand, undecided voters may decide that if Donald Trump refuses to debate, it's a sign that he has something to hide (which he has). We'll just have to see what develops.

 

Given the libs prediction record of being 100% wrong 100% of the times, we will probably have more debates than in the past elections
