Other matters provide a backdrop to the division. Trump believes the Russians over American intelligence. Reince Priebus, Trump's chief of staff, grudgingly admitted to Chris Wallace today that Trump still is not willing to accept the conclusions of our intelligence community, proving he is just plain ignorant along with being sympathetic to Russia. A possible cause for his ignorance is his unwillingness to hear the PDF (Presidential Daily Brief). I guess he is too busy bragging on his victory tour.

Trump proved his ignorance again with the incident of the stolen drone. As everyone knows the Chinese stole an American sea drone in the South China Sea in international waters. Trump first tweeted on Saturday, “China steals United States Navy research drone in international waters - rips it out of water and takes it to China in unpresidented [sic] act.” That evening he changed his mind, “We should tell China that we don't want the drone they stole back.- let them keep it!” Geez, this guy is going to be our President?

Then there is this. For the first time ever a President-elect went on a victory tour. For two weeks he traveled from city to city gloating over his victory. Re-telling over and over again the drama he went through on election night. He reviewed his campaign promises -- the ones he hasn't broken -- that divided the nation. On his victory tour he did absolutely nothing to unite a bitterly divided nation. Indeed, he exacerbated the division. The victory tour itself represents abject stupidity. It was a product of his narcissistic and arrogant persona.

There is little wonder why Putin wanted Trump to be our next President. So far Trump is showing his inexperience, ignorance, and divisive character. If Putin has his way, Trump will tear the nation apart.

    It is already starting.

Adding to the division are Trump's choices for his cabinet and advisors.

Rex Tillerson - SecState. A self-admitted friend of Putin, received the Order of Friendship medal from Putin, a climate skeptic.

Jeff Sessions - Attorney General. Senator from Alabama and has a history of racism.

Andrew F Puzder - Labor. Has a history of being anti-labor, opposes minimum wage and supports automation to curtail labor costs. He is the antithesis of Trump's promise to create jobs and increase family incomes.

James Mattis - SecDef. General in charge of the military. Constitution provided for civilian control of the military.

John F. Kelly -- DHS. General in charge of the nation's security.

Mike Flynn -- NSA. General in charge of advising Trump on nation's security. Conspiracy theorist and has used Islamophobic rhetoric. Son fired off transition team for promulgating fake news.

Rick Perry -- Energy. In 2012 election campaign he wanted to disband the energy department.

Ben Carson -- HUD. Has no experience in urban development. Probably a political reward pick. Nice guy, maybe too nice. Warns that subsidized housing fosters dependency.

Scott Pruitt -- EPA. A climate denier. Opposes Paris Conference on climate.

Nikki Haley -- UN ambassador. Has no experience in foreign affairs.

Betsy Devos -- Education. Favors school vouchers over public education.

Reince Preibus -- Chief of Staff. Excellent choice. Knows his way around Washington.

Steve Bannon -- Senior advisor. Former CEO of Breitbart News, the soapbox for the alt-right movement.

David Friedman -- Ambassador to Israel. Opposes two-state solution, backs undivided Jerusalem as capital and has acted for Trump’s failing hotels. Oh-oh!

During the campaign, Trump sharply criticized Clinton for her Goldman Sachs connections. Goldman Sachs is well represented in Trump's cabinet picks and choice of advisors.

Time will tell. However, as a Marine intelligence officer long ago I was trained to look for indicators that predicted future actions. So far the indicators are not looking so hot in terms of a Trump Presidency.

The split between the electoral college and the popular vote suggests to me the nation was already divided.

Edit to add: Hopefully after Trump is in office he'll try to bring the country together but too many democrats don't seem willing to let him do so.

When I lived in Corona I used to listen to John and Ken on AM 590. Perhaps you should give them a listen.

Wouldn't a giant red reset button from Target work?

Please explain how the second tweet contradicts the first. I admit I did not see those tweets in their entirety (if there's more, that is), so maybe the "changing of his mind" is just not represented here.

You can't blame the Democrats for Trump's divisive language on his victory tour. He was bragging and putting down Clinton and her supporters. His narcissistic personality wouldn't allow him to realize he won; it's time to be humble, time to bring the nation together after a heated campaign. Instead he relived the campaign, driving those who voted against him -- far more than voted for him -- even farther apart.

Honestly, how stupid can you get?

I don't get my material from entertainers. I get my my material from news commentators, a lot of it from Fox News, and accredited publications.

I see you agree with me. Trump is going to have to reset himself or we are in for a long four years. That victory tour was totally unnecessary. What was he trying to prove? What a great men he is? Give me a break.

He can start by reading PDF's. He needs to read up on American intelligence. When he is President, he will have to rely on them. Right now he think they are a bunch of liars. Of course, he could change his mind at any time. After all, that is what he has been doing. Take the research drone as an example.

Thought I heard a report the attendance at these rallies was good? Everyday average Americans going out to celebrate and acknowledge a man that's already been elected on the promise to make America great again. No fires, no looting, no overturned cars, no dead cops.

If you find that divisive perhaps it's not Trumps fault.

What specifically is in this daily briefing that he isn't getting that you find so pressing?

How many Americans and Chinese should die to get this drone back? Should we agree to fight it out up to 10K KIA or should we go higher?

Our President-Elect encountered every day Americans. There should be a law against it.

The nation will not be torn apart. People who need safe spaces tend not to be good fighters.

No I don't agree with you at all. Trump is selecting the best of the best to make America great again.
Hillarys foreign policy consisted a giant red reset button from target on which she didn't even spell reset correctly. Excuse us if we prefer people that know what they are doing for a change.

"Rips it out of the water." "Unpresidented [sic] act.” Then, "let them keep it!” If you can't see the contradiction, I can't help you.

The second tweet didn't say that China didn't rip it out of the water, did it? The second tweet didn't claim that the act was precedented, did it? A change in tone is not the same thing as a contradiction.

It would make leftists feel a sense of relief. They adore stuff like that. When Hillary punched that reset button in regards to Russia and Putin leftists across this nation orgasmed. It was awesome.

Yes, he should have stuck to the established tradition of the last eight years and gone on an apology tour instead, expressing regret to the world for their ever having been a United States of America in the first place. That would have made he and Barack Obama genuine buddies.

Feels good, doesn't it. It's invigorating, yes? Sort of reminds one how Obama turned out to be a divider rather than a uniter. Baaaaaaaaaaad Trump.

Obama spent eight years mocking whites, Christians, and conservatives. No president in history divided the country more than Obama. And now libs are worried about being divided?

    What a joke.

That's true and I wish he wouldn't do such things.
However lets be fair and admit what divisive things happened BEFORE his victory tour.

Rioters and protesters marching and yelling "not my president."
Democrats claiming he stole the election.
Democrats calling his supporters racist, misogynistic and intolerant.
People threatening republican electors in an effort to get them to switch their vote.

You see, the democrats aren't helping heal the nation either.

I will give president Obama credit for putting partisanship aside and working for a smooth presidential transition of power.

Was that directed at me or Trump? I can't speak for Trump but as for me, I can get pretty stupid especially after a couple of Alabama Slammers. Last month after celebrating Trump's victory I had one too many and tried to ride my pony down Las Vegas strip.

    I don't have a pony.

Can I ask you a question? After 8 years of questioning if Obama was even American why should Liberals support Trump, the man who instigated that conspiracy? Can you give me an acceptable answer to that? How has trump earned that kind of support
