No, yours is too busy worshiping Castro to have time for that.

    "Elections have consequences"
"Republicans can sit in the back of the bus"

There's a whole lot of butt hurt snowflakes with short memories. Trump hasn't attacked any of them in such a divisive fashion yet they accuse him of acting as they did. Oh well, snowflakes are built upon irrational logic.
Eight years of winter is enough. It's time spring returns to this country.

Can you elaborate on the "split" between the voters and electorate? It would seem based solely on the popular vote, that delegates are perhaps distributed disproportionately but population in any given region is subject to change dramatically in a relatively short time dependant on many different factors. The truth is that HRC took many traditionally blue states for granted ... IMO the DNC "split" with it's own electorate, the EC isn't broken, it's the party.

What I meant was if the election was close enough that the popular vote goes one way and the electoral college vote goes the other way, then it means it was a very close election and the country is probably divided.

The Gore vs Bush election for example.

Reading comprehension can be a great tool. This discussion is not about Obama. It is about Trump. Do try to stay current.

No, that comment was not directed at you. We have conversed before. I have the highest respect for your statements even if I don't agree with all of them. I was referring to the logic of the statement that preceded the comment.

What you described is even more reason why Trump should attempt to unify the country. Apparently, some of our friends feel that Obama was a divider. If true, according to them, two wrongs make a right. If Obama did it, it is okay for Trump to do it. That's asinine.

Are you re-living the election campaign? Most of us have moved past that to today. We are talking about the President-elect, not a private citizen.

I think the victory tour is different, but not malevolent. He always ends each speech talking about how we are all one nation. We are going to sink or swim together, regardless of our race, or any other category. We are all Americans.

    I believe this!

We believe this! You and me. We didn't serve our country for whites, blacks, men or women, not for the rich or the poor, but for all Americans.

I like it that our President-elect is championing this belief that we all have one shared destiny, as Americans. :flagus:

A victory tour is silly. Putting down the 65 million Americans who voted against him is stupid. He should be trying to unite the country, not exacerbate the division.

Is he leaving the transition to others? Would he rather give speeches to his adoring fans than work on the transition? Now that is silly. Valuable time was wasted on this damn victory tour.

Obama divided this nation from Day 1 and never stopped. Worst president ever...that is why you lost. Trump won DESPITE the MSM smearing him daily and the Republican establishment being no better. He is not a carrer politician, so I expect things to be done differently, which doesn't mean that that is a bad thing.

As a Marine, I say this. I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to death your right to say it.

Oops, I think somebody already said it.

You are looking at all this with rose-colored glasses.

"Say what you like about their political views, you don't reach the level of General or CEO without knowing a little something about managing people and material." My point is their political views. Trump chose those people for a reason. Perhaps you should review those comments again.

I didn't think it was. I just wanted to get my joke in.

    *blushes*

    Thank you

True. But, he really can't just yet. There's too much bad feelings from the election. But in say, two months, he really needs to try. He needs to put down his twitter and give it an honest try.

    Damn Right!

    Texas Casts 36 of Its 38 Electoral Votes for Trump, One to Ron Paul (RON PAUL!!!) and One for John Kasich ((*)(*)(*)hole);
Trump Officially President Elect According to Electoral College

    Finally.

That puts Trump's total at 304, and all of his states have completed their voting. At this point (5:35 pm ET), Hillary has lost four electors, with the possibility of losing more in California.

The left will have to find some other thing now to waste their time with, and ours, and wail like babies about.

How is showing gratitude toward your supporters putting down those who voted against him? Should he do a sorry you lost tour? Now that would be SILLY!

Is he behind on his cabinet picks? I didn't hear anything suggesting as much.

If that's true then he's behaving like a little child. He's supposed to bring the country together, not to divide it.

Well, whether we're talking about liberal or conservative Generals/CEOs, we should be able to agree that such people are at the top of their game, yes? (Why would such a recognition be looking at things through rose-colored glasses?) That was my main point. So ok, you don't like their political views; you didn't expect Donald Trump to appoint the same people as Barack Obama, did you?

Sure, at the end of his speeches he preaches unity. That's after spending most of his time bragging about his great victory, thanking the Founders for their brilliance (the Electoral College) and putting down the 65 million Americans who voted for Clinton. During the victory tour, he relived the election campaign and day over and over again. Why? To satisfy that arrogant personality of his. There was no other purpose. Thanking his supporters was merely an excuse so he could relive the election campaign rallies with his adoring, cheering fans.

Seth, I want to believe in him. I honestly do, but he is making it very hard. Trump picked Vincent Viola as his Secretary of the Army. Viola graduated from West Point. So, he has picked a military man to oversee the army. A general as his NSA. Another general as his deputy NSA. Still another general as SecDef. And still another general to head DHS. Doesn't this cause you some concern?

There is a limit to being optimistic. One should also be wary of warning signs.

Good point. Mostly I am concerned about his military men in his cabinet picks and advisors. There are a lot in key positions. The founders wanted civilian control of the military for a reason, a damn good reason. Yeah, I know, they are retired. But Trump picked them for their military expertise and that is a matter of concern. Just exactly what is Trump going to do about ISIS, Iraq, and Syria? China? That should be your concern as well. Trump has a purpose, of that there is no doubt.

Liberals have been dividing our nation for years now with their anti white rhetoric and double standards of equality. Calling everyone bigoted and racist. Attacking people in the street who disagree with them. Siding with criminals over hero cops. The list goes on.

So dont act surprised people are starting to fight back now.

Retired General Mattis is a civilian. He has a DD214 which makes one a civilian. I'm glad I helped clear up your confusion.

So if Trump had not gone a tour to thank his supporters the people on the left would have stopped crying, protesting, complaining, whining?
Trump's thank you tour didn't divide the nation. We'e been divided for the past 8 years and decided to do something about it.
Trump won. Get over it. Get real. Get a life.

Let's see here, a Trump victory tour or an Obama apology tour, I think I'll go with the former.
