Honestly, I'm taken aback by many of your attacks on what you perceive to be the left because I look at the current centrist establishment as an enemy and it confuses me to hear my own comrades being conflated with them until I remember how different the media landscapes we inhabit are.

It's counterintuitive, but it turns out that poorer people have more kids because they'd rather bear the short term cost of raising these children to self-sufficiency so that they can help out the family and bring in more stable income later on. That, plus a lack of accessible birth control and sex education. When that ceases being an issue, the population will probably level out around 10 or 11 billion, which is a challenge but not insurmountable.

I think we need to look into projects of permaculture and look at the ways ancient peoples utilized their environments to come up with modern solutions that don't suffer from a blind pursuit of complexity for its own sake the way these things do if you leave it to the private sector. Such an approach helped invent the Earthship, a house design suited for the deserts of the western US that produces all of its own power and much of its own food.

Real liberals, if there are any left, should be raging against this faux liberalism, and since we see none of that to speak of, liberalism is dead.
