And over a year later no crimes pertaining to Trump or the campaign or Russian collusion.

Today the Trump administration announced the expulsion of a passel of Russian "diplomats" (read spies). This is the first time since Trump took office that he agreed to significant action against Russia (yeah, he did allow a few sanctions to be imposed a few weeks ago). Trump must really be running scared if he is finally willing to take an action that can be seen as standing up to Putin. Up until today, Trump has figuratively (and perhaps at times literally) applied his lips to the orifice in the center of Putin's posterior anytime the subject of Russian malfeasance has been raised.

7 months is extremely short...Legal issues generally move at glacial speed and there have ALREADY been guilty pleas and numerous indictments...How can one say we are no closer?

A problem with Trump fans is they get their news from Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson. The call real news "fake news" because the real news accurately reports what Trump says and does. They hate that.

Still another problem with Trump fans is they bury their heads in the sand. If it is bad news, they don't want to hear it.

That article is the point on the tip of the iceberg in terms of the evidence against Trump. And that is just what the public knows, which is very little.

Mueller is preparing evidence for the impeachment of the American President. That takes time, and he needs to get his ducks in order.

Mueller was appointed in May. The Watergate scandal which would have led to Nixon's impeachment had he not resigned, took two years. The events that led to Clinton's impeachment took longer than six years.

    Have patience.

You are either joking or you are ignorant. "Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has either indicted or gotten guilty pleas from 19 people and three companies so far — with most of those being announced just in the past few weeks.

"That group is composed of four former Trump advisers, 13 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Five of these people have already pleaded guilty — the latest being former Trump campaign staffer Rick Gates, who signed a plea deal and committed to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation Friday."

Trump has changed his mind before. As a matter of fact, he has made a career of changing his mind as President. This is caused by a number of factors.

To begin with, Trump has no core beliefs. He goes whichever way the wind is blowing at the moment. One observer commented that he changes his mind five times before lunch. Others say it depends on who was the last person to talk to him. Then there is his well-know proclivity to want to have it both ways. So, he often times says one thing. Then, moments later, says he really doesn't mean it. When he announced the steel and aluminum tariffs on our friendly trading partners, moments later he exempted Canada and Mexico, nos. 1 and 4 on the steel list. The following day he exempted Australia. A day before they went into effect, he exempted nearly everyone else that counted.

So, he changed his mind about Russia. His coziness with the Russian regime and his condescending remarks about Putin had gotten untenable in the face of Russia's activities. But it is only a small step, possibly even a disingenuous one.

Trump speaks and tweets about the most mundane things and people. He has gotten into a twitter war with the San Juan mayor, Oprah Winfrey, Adam Schiff, NFL football, and he has attacked his own FBI and DOJ. Two things he has been completely silent on are the allegations made by a porn star and Playmate, and he did not personally announce or comment on the expulsions. The latter is rather strange for a President who always wants to be the center of attention. But he is staying away from this one.

Put a different way, standby for another change. Getting tough on Russia is only a momentary lapse.

Wow seven months later and no closer. The Watergate scandal STARTED WITH A CRIME, the persons who committed the crime were sentenced 6 months later, and then of course the several court cases including going to the Supreme Court it had to go through as Nixon tried stop it and then withhold evidence, which has NOT occurred here and by all reports the the Trump White House is fully cooperating. So no comparison there.

Why do I have a vision of this same thread or one just like it being open in 2025 when former President Trump is talking about his plans to open his Presidential Library?

Gates’s testimony could prove crucial as Mueller seeks to determine what role, if any, the Trump campaign played in Russian election meddling. Gates, who served as Manafort’s No. 2 and worked on Trump’s inaugural committee after the election, was a key member of the Trump campaign at critical points. “Was he in the strategy meetings? No. But he was an implementer,” one person said of Gates to CNN. This person added that if there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russians, “He would be the kind of person who would probably know that.” Gates was a major player on the campaign at the time of Donald Trump Jr.’s infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, as well as during the Republican National Convention, where the Trump campaign reportedly altered the language in the G.O.P. platform to be more favorable toward Russian interests.

Those who wish to stay in touch with the world know this is an ongoing situation. I just added an excerpt from an important article concerning the Mueller investigation. It was written yesterday.

I can understand you not knowing that.

So says the White House. A bit biased, wouldn't you say? If they are so cooperative, why hasn't Trump sat down with Mueller? He says he wants to, but we longer believe anything he says. He lies so much it is regarded as a tactic on his part.

Does this sound like someone who is cooperating with the investigation? BTW, Trump's lead lawyer, John Dowd, quit because Trump didn't listen to him.

They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story. Nice

My advice to you is, don't use the White House as a source of information. They lie too much.

Did you read the part about "four former Trump advisers." In addition, Trump's son and son-in-law along with Trump's campaign manager met with Russian operatives at Trump's home in June 2016.

I guess you could say that pertains to Trump and his campaign.

Who has been charged with anything to do with Russian collusion or anything to do with the campaign?

So says who that the White House has not cooperated fully? Where hsa the SC had to got to court to force dissclosure or testimony? Where has the WH refused a subpoena or gone to court?
My advice to you is to not make things up.

Manafort and Gates. Flynn and Papadopulous would have been, but they pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and are now cooperating with Mueller. Mueller is taking a real close look at Junior and Jared because they attended a meeting with Russian operatives at Trump's home.

Mueller hasn't gotten around to other charges yet, but they are coming.

How would this be news to Trump supporters? Even if they live in the right wing propaganda bubble, every new move by Mueller which brings him closer to exposing Trump, is reported and talked about on every social media network and Internet forums. A waste of time responding to their denials.

None of them have been charged with anything to do with Trump or the Campaign.........try again. And you have no idea who or what Mueller is looking into and how close he is to anything, total conjecture on your part.

Yeah, I know, but maybe something is getting through. It is reality. They can deal with it now, or they can deal with it later, but they will have to deal with it.

Just as Nixon supporters had to do.

They were members of Trump's campaign team. Trump's son, son-in-law, and campaign manager met with Russian operatives at Trump's home. Sheesh!

That's right, and neither do you.

Reporting actual events is not conjecture. That is what I have been doing.

Oh, it has to be coming. For they know without a doubt that trump and putin are buddies and colluded to undermine our democratic processes, in order to beat hillary clinton. Since they have no evidence, it is just their gut feeling, hopes, wishes, fantasies. And surely tomorrow the hammer will drop on the illegal collusion, usurping our very democratic process, and this will get trump kicked out of office. All of their marbles are in that basket and if it does not come to fruition, they will lose their marbles.
