I believe the Senate properly gave advice and consent, by not consenting. It just chose not to do so in a vote, but that's an old battle to revisit.

The Democrats had some semblence of sanity. They invoked the Mueller investigation, but that was pretty much it. But now, I don't think you can hold a vote due to how impartial the whole mess is.

You don't understand tests, and neither do courts. Few tests have a sensitivity and specificity in the high 90s, (like PCR on DNA), and it depends on how they're used. The way tests are used by doctors is that you apply a test to a situation with a reasonable pre-test probability, and given the sensitivity and specificity of the test you can get a more informed post-test probability. Even the critics of polygraphs say their "accuracy" (which I suppose would be an average between the positive and negative predictive values weighted by the frequency of each) is 70%, which is not a useless test.
