Kavanaugh, Ford set to testify in Senate Judiciary Committee hearing

If he was trying to hide why would he testify? He said he would do what the committee wanted. He wasn't going to be bullied into anything which is what he said

 

All they need is Flake to vote no and it won't pass the committee.

I understand it's close. I understand every vote is important. Flake has proven what he is. And no, it takes more than just Flake to vote no. As he recognized he is toast back home, he's worthless. The real issue is if the usual Republican suspects plan to have a future in the Senate.

 

However, I do not think the committee has to pass it, it just goes to the floor with a negative recommendation, which means nothing. They can afford to lose 1 republican assuming no democrats flip, so if Flake was the only one, it could still go 50/50 with Pence deciding. Though if Flake goes, I would suspect at least one of the other republicans would.

Surprising given how bipartisan he has been before. Maybe he has a special sore spot for #metoo. Is SC a place where assault victims aren't believed if they don't go straight to the police? Some kind of Southern cultural thing?

He's talking about the vote to get a recommendation out of this committee... if Flake doesn't vote yes, Kavanaugh either gets a no recommendation or unfavorable recommendation....

But the full senate vote will go on, probably over the weekend, regardless of what happens tomorrow.... But if Flake votes no in committee, that only means 1 more No vote in full Senate...

The committee vote doesn't matter. I can't imagine anyone in the Senate who will pay much attention to the circus the Dems have turned the Committee hearings into.

 

that statement alone is true, and I quote "it may not have been kavanaugh but it was someone." so if there is ANY doubt it was Kavanaugh, and it is clear to say there is, why are they doing this to him? shameful and scummy is all i have to say....

 

She certainly does not come off as one who would simply make up a story to get back at Kavanaugh or republicans in general. If she is making this up, she is a world class actress and a truly evil person. If that is the case, I hope she is exposed arrested and charged.

However, in my opinion she is telling the truth and Kavanaugh either doesn't remember or is so ashamed of his actions that night that he can not bring himself to admit it. I think it is a damn shame for Kavanaugh's whole career to be ruined for a couple things that happened (if indeed they did) while he was a young man and heavily inebriated. I am glad I have not been judged for a lifetime by a some f the idiotic things that I have said or done when I was between 16-25+ and drunk as hell.

I hope that both Dr. Blasey-Ford and Judge Kavanaugh are able to overcome this hideous spectacle and find the strength and support to go on and continue to be great and productive people in the years ahead.

 

His display of vitriol, hatred, and revenge in my opinion makes him , no matter if he is a liberal, moderate, or a conservative, not of the temperament to be a Supreme Court judge.

 

I'm not the one in support of a North Korean circus development in America. If Kavanaugh is guilty, he's guilty. If Trump is guilty, Trump's guilty but facts and evidence should be apparent.

In this case, it's not apparent.

He's a human, humans have emotion. Kavanaugh was deprived of due process in this country since the Democratic members already deemed him guilty like a witch.
