You just found the one spot in Texas that might be interesting, the rest of it is pretty boring. Just so you know, that type of terrain is so common in California we would never think to make it a symbol of something special about our state. But in Texas, its called "the hill country". Cracks me up.

The imbecility of your post -also- cannot be overstated.

You said they are stupid to move there, but the fact remains that fortunes are made in that State. They have 1 million millionaires, and looking to add a heck of lot more with big companies going public soon. You might pay more in living expenses, but if you end up with several million bucks in the pocket when your company goes public, then maybe it would have been more stupid to stay in Arkansas in order to save $1000 in taxes.

Silicon Valley could have 5,000 new millionaires after this year's tech IPOs

I would guess that many of the 'newbies' to California are undocumented aliens who are included in the population statistics. As far as the California economy--the statistics are skewed due to California's tech giants. In reality, California's middle-class is being decimated.

    I said:
People are allowed to be stupid, especially when doing so suits the left.
    Do you disagree?

Do you have a problem with lily white people? Its hypocritical for anti-white racists to demonize whites while continuing to exploit the technology created by them.

Undocumented people are documented in the stats.......interesting concept.

The topic is about high income people moving to CA.

I just explained my POV to you, and you come right back to ask again.

Yes, people are allowed to be stupid, but I do not agree pursuing success in a place like silicon valley is stupid. If you are willing to pursue your dreams, it is one of the best places on the planet to do so. Why do you think so many of worlds most successful companies are there? Because they are stupid?

Airbnb, Instacart, Lyft, Palantir, Pinterest, Postmates, Slack and Uber......all stupid? All relatively new, and preparing IPOs. Innovation lives in the silicon valley, but if you think only stupid people live there, then so be it.

You are free to have opinions like that, and you are free to stay where ever you live and count the pennies you save.

It is what it is. Undocumented aliens are included in California's population statistics.
They are not losing population. They just broke 40 million, and their economy is now the 5th largest in the world, larger then UK or France. (You're first post) You said nothing about rich people moving to California. Nice try.

You attributed to me something I did not say. I corrected you.
CA is just one of the many places people can and do find success; some of these other places do not have the taxes, regulation, etc, that CA does -- as such, the people who choose to find success in those elsewheres get to keep more of their wealth and do not trip over the state in every step.

Many of the worlds most successful companies have chosen the Silicon Valley, and for whatever reason it offends you to no end.

Whatever you do, do not go there. Problem solved.

CA does attract a lot rich ppl, that just a fact. CA GDP I think its 4/5 in the world. nothing wrong with rich ppl move there cause that's where a lot high income job locate at. engineer over there usually make 6 figures, and most young and ambition folks move there. btw I don't live in CA, but know a lot high skill worker move there after they graduate. rich ppl they can afford the tax, where low income may have to move elsewhere due to expensive living cost.

“If you’ve got your business here and you’re making money, it’s hard to leave,” says Allan Zaremberg, president of the California Chamber of Commerce.

    A truly unbiased opinion 8)

    That they are stupid?

I think we all know it's simply your personal take on it, because the success of CA offends you.

And why would they not move there. Get a job with a hot start up, and when they do their IPO, you retire a millionaire in your 40s, if not sooner. Then you can move to Texas, although I don't see why anyone would want to do that if they can choose any State. Florida, maybe..... I travel to Dallas all the time, and the place suffocates me. Massive suburb, and nothing else.

I like white people. My mother, father and both of my sons are white. I just don’t mind people of other races. I am going to exploit a bunch of white technology later today. Cheers

Dems here are pissed that the firms successes brought jobs here, ergo sending prices of homes sky high and now want someone else to construct cheap rentals that are affordable. Gee success or high cost rents?

They complain because the value of their properties is sky high? I find that hard to believe.

I do not recall the exacts size of the lot my relatives lived at in Buena Park but they had a small 2 BR home and a barn on the lot. Could have been anywhere from 1/4 acre to 1/2 acre. She moved north to live with us for a while but missed her friends in S Cal and went back. She also missed her horses. And she was not used to being around 5 kids all the time. Her kids settled both at Buena Park and in the Barstow community in the desert. I well recall those orange groves.

The property owners don't mind this, it is the local Dems running their cities.

I have 5 kids and deep roots here. While I am not a Republican, the damage caused my liberal politicians is still not as bad as the damage relocating would cause my family.
