Notice there are no bureaucrats or tax collectors around that windmill.

Seriously though this was hilariously cherry picked. Here I can do it in reverse.

    Texas

    California

Both are incredibly diverse states with beautiful and arid areas. Get over yourself.

They have their ways. Charitable trusts.

    and other loopholes

The rich are the ones who make the rules (laws), they aren't going to screw themselves.

In general you can offset any tax paid overseas with tax paid domestically.

Of course, if you're living somewhere with lower tax rates than the US you'll still be paying at least US rates.

Seems like a rort to me.

I doubt you could detect even 1/2 inch of sea level rise.

Does it? Perhaps 60/70 years ago... Now, crowded, unlivable even. Killed by it's attractiveness. As so many things are and have been.

Maybe you would love Nebraska. We are in the top five highest property tax paying states in the nation. By your metrics California is a big loser. :)

You post them since you are the one making the claims.

But you're the one claiming it's an urban legend.

On what basis do you make that claim?

Socialism is an economic system where the government owns and operates means of production, and it is obviously not the case in California.

Someone said California population is shrinking, and I corrected that with the fact that they just broke 40 million. You said its because relatives are moving in. How are you going to prove that?

You offered to prove your claims, so why don't you do that?

Actually, you are right. Socialism is an economic system, not a political one. California is capitalist like the rest of the country. What he dislikes is the high level of government social spending and liberal political policies. But understand that these things can also harm a state if done to excess.

Ah. The bulk of my post involved the issue of taxes and who pays them.

You got tweaked over the first sentence.

    https://www.ppic.org/publication/undocumented-immigrants-in-california/

    https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article25940218.html

Two factors largely explain the growth in California’s Latino population: immigration and high birth rates.
    https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article13521122.html

California’s population will continue to grow over the next 45 years, but very slowly, a new projection by the state’s demographers reveals, with Latinos and Asian-Americans providing virtually all growth and the white population shrinking dramatically.

So much for your urban legend BS....

I dont see anything about relatives, or things collapsing because people are not paying taxes. In the other hand, they just became the 5th largest economy in the world, ahead of countries like France and UK which have much larger populations. Urban legends......

I looked and saw you jump from "relatives are moving it" to fast birth rates. Tweak the story as you go......

You have a nice day too Mr Urban Legend.

Could there be other reasons for high income people moving to CA, like jobs, and/or proximity to billion dollar companies (potential business partners).
