Nope. You know it's been refuted. I gave you the congressional voting record from 2001-2007 showing republicans killed every bill attempting to address the impending economic collapse.

 

I remember you saying once before that the president controlled everything. So now the congress controls everything. That means the economic collapse from 2007 to 2011 was due to the democratic congress.

 

You refuse to deal with the issues regarding our President.

This has nothing to do with border security. Trump declared a national emergency for the expressed purpose of going around Congress to get funding for his wall. Trump even said so. Because Congress denied those funds twice and they have sole power of the purse, that is an attack on our Constitution.

That is the point. If you can't see that, that makes you a typical, gullible Trump fan who believes every piece of B.S. Trump throws out there.

Instead, you focus on me. That is a sure sign of weakness.

This thread, which I started, concerns issues about Trump, and I and others have been discussing Trump's decisions, statements, and tweets. You and Rahl, another Trump fan, have purposely attempted to divert attention from these issues.

This is intentional on your part because you wish to avoid today's issues concerning Trump. That's obvious.

I welcome your views that are on topic. This thread is not about Obama vs. Trump. Obama hasn't been our President for two years. If you two want to talk about the economy and Obama, start your own thread. This one is about Trump and his fans.

There are a few things to learn about this poll. There are roughly 40% of Americans who represent Trump's base. Trump could be found guilty of murdering Mother Theresa, and these Americans would still support him.

Our economy is on fire, and a majority of Americans are better off than they were two years ago. Generally speaking, the President gets credit for this even though, historically, Presidents rarely have any direct effect on the economy, and that is certainly true in Trump's case.

The fact that Trump receives only 42% approval for a raging economy with full employment is not a credit to the President.

The public also breaks sharply negative over the President's handling of immigration. Overall, 58% disapprove and 39% approve.

55% were opposed to the President's veto of the emergency declaration resolution passed by Congress. Just 35% say he should have used his veto power in this case.

White college educated respondents: 40% approve, 55% disapprove.

White, non-college educated respondents: 54% approve, 39% disapprove.

No one has shown that the Trump economic policies do not result in superior growth than Obamanomics. Which policy results in greater growth - small business income tax rate of 39% or 25% ??? Nobody has the intellectual honesty to answer that.
