Could also be from trauma, itarogenic causes, or uterine rupture

    Positive Kirby-baur test, what ever.

The treatment is rapid c-section and local control of hemorrhage.

I do because it DOES change minds

There is so much ignorance spread on the internet - my fav for today - IVs cause gestational diabetes

I work to redress the health care imbalance here in Australia, and yes we still have an imbalance, it is narrowing ,slowly but it is there and cannot understand why more in the USA are not more active in addressing your imabalances

As I said depends on the precipitating factors, hopefully not trauma as it would indicate MASSIVE loss of blood. Uterine rupture I doubt we would see one of those here per year in Aus. And they are usually associated with amniotic emboli - hideous maternal outcomes

But if you have ever cared for someone with DIC you would understand how difficult “local control of haemorrhage” becomes.

As I have said repeatedly, wherever possible both will be saved. During the H1N1 flu here we had more than one pregnant woman so sick they considered ECMO. The babies were delivered no matter how small and everyone lived in hope

I do work with a charity group that provides medical care in the southwest US, and northern Mexico. Talk about imbalance.

    Citizenship is a legal construct.
    This is a philosophical debate

Citizens are afforded different rights under the Constitution than persons.

So yours is a failed argument.

The truth or falsity of that statement very much hinges on the semantic meaning of "late-term" in that statement.

    Yes, after 24-26 weeks, true.
Before 19 weeks, not so much.

Before 19 weeks, the fetus isn't even viable - that can hardly be considered, "late term".
No baby has ever survived that was younger than 21 weeks, 4 days.

In the minds of many, not being "late-term" implies early term. So it can be misleading.

And most of the abortions just a few weeks before then are not "pregnancies gone horribly tragically wrong", like Bowerbird mentioned.

Only to people who think gestational diabetes is caused by I.V. tubes ...

No they are early term abortions delayed through lack of access

    Tell me

Why isn’t mifepristone easily available since it is only used for very early term abortions?

Elderly people with dementia can't survive on their own, should we kill them?

Actually some do quite well but when they get to the stage where all that is left is a feeding tube and a diaper......then maybe we should consider palliative care

They die natural deaths every day. We could keep them alive till they rot around their feeding tubes, but when life is no longer viable, the humane thing is to let them pass. Happens all the time.

Still doesn't mean you can control other people's lives.

Shouldn't that be the choice of the elderly person with dementia?

but the abortionist can. do i have it right?

and i can, however, argue that virtue is something worth protecting. and so is my body. so will you join me in insuring that i will always be legally able to carry with me the tools to do so? those tools at this time happen to be a .357JHP magnum revolver and a 9mmx19JHP semi auto pistol.
