The press is always looking for the worst possible aspect of any happening. That's their perspective. Unfortunately, that's the only perspective they end up sharing with the rest of us, leaving us feeling nothing positive ever happens--which is certainly not true. Personally, I feel there's far too much negativity in our lives already, & I don't want to support anything that adds more.

The initial evidence appeared threatening enough to warrant further investigation. To have ignored it would have been a failure of responsibility by the DOJ. The same applies to Congressional hearings today. It's part of their Constitutional responsibilities to check out & make sure the other branches stay legal, & Trump is always pushing that envelope. I think your post would be more accurately applied to the shenanigans of Republicans during the Bill Clinton years, when they impeached a President for something far less offensive than Trump has been found undeniably guilty of in public--having sex outside marriage, paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribery money to keep witnesses silent--even while President, & many other highly questionable actions that border or pass into illegality.

So? Jesus said many would claim to know Him, but He would toss them out. Isn't that correct?

You don't speak for our Lord and Savior, is that not correct?

The Lord and I know each other well: I call him "Lord" and He calls me by my first name.

Yeah, but does that make it right? Does it make it more successful? Is fighting fire with more fire really the best answer? Maybe someone should think "water."

Back-burning is a long proven fire fighting strategy. It depends on who you are dealing with. For some, yielding produces a more peaceful situation, for others, yielding caused them to escalate.

But for the Press to engage in this, clearly as partisan political operatives, and then scream and holler when the same is done to them? They have it coming.

You have no idea about kids today. Suspect you arent allowed within 1000 yards of a school.

Do you know how dumb you sound with the old "kids these days aren't worth a dam" shtick. Sound like some senile, bitter old man

And the fact that they are developing powerful computers seems to make you envious. Sad

The kids are products of the schools

Yet the kids "today" are performing wonders in the third Industrial Revolution and head to breakthroughs in the Fourth (AI) that will eliminate the need to labor for the necessities of life.

You are the one caught in the nightmare of the past. The 'kids' are the future.

They identified as Racists. That was the only reason they organized. Do you really believe that the KKK was an organization based on Christianity and its teachings and, if so, did you learn this in the modern educational system?

We don't know what the average KKK member believed in many areas of his life but we do know he (or she) was racist. And a Democrat.

Philip Rucker disclosed information from an off the record meeting, a very serious violation of confidentiality. He's destroyed the career of Madeleine Westerhout and should never be trusted again. Trump is correct at pointing out what a pos this guy is.

As soon as "Muslims" get their collective acts together and decide finally, after 14 centuries, just what "true" Islam is then perhaps they can be taken seriously. Today they are more closely identified with anti Gay, anti Woman, anti other religions and international terrorism rather than any particular or meaningful philosophy.

It's hard to take Islam, or Muslims, seriously given that their beliefs are anathema to human rights and freedoms.

Creating powerful computers are not a problem but belief systems and a lack of historical knowledge certainly can be.

I just have to say: Vow!! Talk about the irony of the pot calling the kettle black!

In the meantime, for me, there is no such things as "true" Islam! That is something used by uneducated people to try to force a ridiculous ideology on other people. It is done both by the Wahhabis as well as by the Islamophobes who like to paint "Islam" in a particular way.

In these 14 centuries you talk about, there have been dozens of the most influential works in philosophy and literature within the Islamic world, and specifically the Iranian part of it, that would rival anything you have been exposed to from western civilization when it comes to promoting a culture of humanism and enlightenment.
