    Of course, "progressives" have a long sordid history of using children to do their dirty work.

    While watching this latest Children's Crusade I couldn't help but be struck at the similarity between it and the Cultural Revolution in China where Mao & Co. used young people to consolidate absolute power and destroy their political opponents. As we've seen in many different circumstances around the world, young people are highly prone to fanaticism. Since they haven't lived long enough to have their perception of Man and the world tempered by age and experience they can easily fall prey to the utopian fantasies and extremism associated with people who have a simple and narrow-minded view of the world. It's little wonder that unscrupulous and power-hungry adults have found them to be particularly useful and effective ideological shock troops.

    I havn't been following her much, but I thought she was maybe 12...

    Either way, those putting her 'in the arena' are directly responsible for any criticism she suffers as a result. Politics is no place for minors (because criticism is innevitable and must be expected), and putting them there is tantamount to using them as a political shield.

    I know all her attackers are being used, it is so predictable.

    As for her motives, she has more of a vested interest than the older folks attacking her.

    She needs to go to Church and get some peace in her soul, but that's a no-no in Sweden. I hate to tell her this, but the climate change is coming from inside the earth and not from anything people are doing above the earth. Of course it would be nice though to clean up the plastics in the ocean before the magma in the earth decides to do it for us.

    If it's not fear, then does anyone feel the need to comment and mock her? No one challenged her message. Are you afraid she might be a hero to young people around the world? Why attack her personally?

    BS. The world will end unless we destroy human achievement? Human progress? The world is for the fleas and gnats, and nothing for the human fathers who want to drive their daughter's to Disney World? Nothing for the human uncles who plow their fields with John Deere tractors? Nothing for the human aunts flying jets across the world? Nothing for humans because they modify the environment to satisfy their selfish need for happiness? WTF? KMA!

    Kid. Get a frigging grip. Jet off to Waikiki, have a sunset dinner on a cruise boat, find a lover, and dance, sing, and love the night away. Man is not destroying the planet. Global warming will not end the human race, ever, (though the coming Mini Ice Age will be a little chilling). And the end of existence is not just a butterfly's last breath away. (Whoever is destroying this child's mind needs to be locked up and tortured with the memorization of Das Kapital And A Critique of Pure Reason.)

    What I noticed is that young people are the most influenced by Soros' NGO's. They're idealistic, need the funds given them and they're not worried about being arrested since they are underage. After a few days of protests, the masked anarchists come and start creating mayhem. It's going on right now in Hong Kong. Sometimes they'll even use snipers so as to blame the government. They did this in Ukraine and Syria.

    I'm surprised that Hong Kong didn't follow a bunch of other countries, and kick out Soros' NGO's with the last protests.

    Why are you so afraid of comments, criticism and mockery that you feel compelled to project your own fear onto others?

    Would your fear also explain your unwillingness to acknowledge the fact that her message of fear and hysteria has indeed been challenged by many people here and elsewhere?

    No one addressed her comments. People just launched into personal attacks rather than critique what she said. She stated her opinion in an emotional way. Why is that such a problem for people? Why does it merit the kind of ad-hom vitriol posted here?
