Seems she has quite a following, among the young that is. The passion and fanaticism makes me think of the children's crusade in the Middle Ages. Funny how things change, and yet they never change.

I wonder who is supporting her in this? Someone has to be footing the bill and giving her the publicity? Is it the Swedish government? If I were her I wouldn't worry so much about climate change, because the way the world is going, most people won't live to see it. Our brilliant government didn't give visas to attend the General Assembly to the members of the Russian senate - thereby making the UN obsolete.

That being said, there's no need to have a meltdown over Trump's "attack". If an individual stands up demanding to be heard in the 'public square', let alone on a global stage - the bonafides / veracity of that individual's content should be vetted. Being a child, demanding an audience, is not an exception.

 

I was listening to a broadcast on National People's Radio last week and they had a bunch of adults on the air bleating and babbling about how they don't want to bring children into this world and are advising their children not to do so, either.

I have to admit, I'm torn over how to react to this. One part of me wants to get mad and slap them upside the head for breeding fear into children while another part of me wants to encourage them and their ilk not to reproduce. Either way, we don't need any more psychological and emotional cripples in this country.

It's pretty clear that the poor girl is suffering from an anxiety disorder that's being exacerbated and encouraged by the people who should be helping her, but are instead her exploiting her for political purposes.

 

Whether explicitly stated or implicitly understood, the ardor of general criticism is directed at the adults, campaigns & organizations behind the child (or it should be). I submit that in this (Gretta) case the entities fomenting behind her are known & recognized. Criticism, seemingly directed at the child 'mouth piece' - are implicitly in reference to the campaign / 'puppet masters' behind behind the stage.

 

She's mentally ill and using a sick person to further your agenda is sick. shame.

 

This is exactly why she's being used as a human shield against criticism. The left once again weaponizing victim culture.

 

Obviously, the LW media and the "progressives" who support her views and agenda think it's a big deal. If some unknown kid that hasn't been lionized by the Left gave a speech to an empty room they wouldn't have bothered to give her any attention.

I find it amusing that you need to believe that fear is what motivates their criticism and mockery, but it's not the first time we've seen that "fear" narrative before. I have to conclude that you are either being deliberately disingenuous or that it never occurred to you that people are mocking her apocalyptic histrionics because they find them irrational and ridiculous.
