Why are we a divided Nation?

No doubt the Obama Administration was Evil and duplicitous. Unfortunately you do not give any examples - so your claim is "assumed premise" fallacy.

Leftist agenda ? again - how so and where are the examples - and how does this meet the leftist agenda criteria ?

I will give a few examples of Obama's complete 180 - the supposed "Civil Rights Activist" - and Harvard trained constitutional scholar.

Obama went after whistleblowers - (not talking Snowden/Manning - those who tried to out Gov't crimes through legitimate channels) - while protecting the Gov't Criminals - such as Clapper.

Obama turned his back on the founding principles (respect for individual liberty) defending the en mass illegal domestic spying program by saying "If we want increased Security - we have to give a little"

Ummm - hold on here - what happened to "give me liberty or give me death" - Founder Franklin "those who would give up essential liberty to purchase temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security"

Transparency decreased under the Obama admin - as did the attack on individual liberty.

How is this strictly a "Leftist thing" ? The right had Obama's back the whole way. Trump has recently lobbied congress to reinstate the NSA en mass domestic spying program - arguably the greatest threat to individual liberty sans a foreign invader taking over.

What happened to the "Civil Rights Activist" ?? Obama turned out to be the dark side.

On the foreign front - Obama armed and supported Al Qaeda - 911 terrorist group - and other radical Islamist Jihadist groups of the same ilk in Syria - an action that led to the death of over 400,000, horrible war crimes and crimes against humanity. He turned Libya into a Jihadist wonderland - and we fight on the same side as Al Qaeda in Yemen.

How is this "Leftist" ? This is right wing neocon - but, it seems that the left is now supporting this policy - Look at how they attack Tulsi Gabbard for speaking uncomfortable truths.

Obamacare ? - Lipstick on a pig - Obama did nothing to change the systematic issues that result in a 3.5 Trillion dollar annual spend (2017) - continuing to pad the pockets of the Establishment Healthcare and Insurance Oligopolies.

Obama was an Establishment wonk - as is Trump.

 

That doesn't mean I'm trying to silence them. I just don't want them to pass legislation banning abortion or blocking same-sex marriage.

We are divided because the left and right have two very different goals.

The left wants a nanny state to wipe our butts for us. Everything should be “free” (education, medical care, transportation, etc), but the government will take 80% of your paycheck and leave you with 20%. And government should decide everything from what light bulbs you can buy to what food you can eat.

The right wants a minimal government (which doesn’t mean “no government”), limited to the very basic duties listed in the Constitution. They simply want government to protect us from external threats and maintain domestic order.

 

I can see those Christians who believe as you do not having same-sex relations, but why are you trying to impose your views on others?

What about people who think a particular religion is a bunch of hooey? Should they try to impose their views on believers?

Hardly. It would be just as wrong if it was NAMGLA (the "G" standing for "Girl"). Adults shouldn't exploit children for sex.

Actually there is absolutely no evidence that marriage was anything other then legal tool to regulate relationship between man and woman.
You can read numerous books, laws and regulations, not one of them refer to marriage as something that involves genital stimulation between two people of the same sex.

I find it amazing that some people do not read anything other then progressive lie.

And no one ever bothered to inform uniformed.

 

Some people don't have the "next to nothing" required to buy nutritious food.

Others have no idea what they should be eating. How do I know? My wife taught high school foods courses.
