Nothing wrong with being a conservative repub. The problem is that Pence is a right-wing cowardly hypocrite.

Science re Coronavirus is easy. Control who comes in and out of the country and quarantine Americans who were allowed to come back out of compassion. PandemicPelosi and her open borders party are the greatest threats to the country.

Lol...The trumps are still trying to figure out how they can cash in on it, so I guess they're not as smart as the Bidens, eh? I heard ivanka was pissed that they had no sweatshops that could make surgical masks.

Sorry they have no control over whether or not a private agency opens or closes offices or where.

    Oh, good lord.

What the US did toward Ebola was highly significant in terms of reducing the world wide threat as well as protecting the American people.

One hopes we do as well with this one.

There never was a world wide threat. The disease is now and always had been confined to the African Continent. Eliminating it there would be good. And the help in ending it there was invaluable. But it wasn't going anywhere else. It is an entirely different threat than convid-19.

    Trump on vaccines:

“You take this little beautiful baby and you pump . . . We had so many instances, people that work for me, just the other day, 2 years old, a beautiful child, went to have the vaccine and came back and a week later got a tremendous fever, got very, very sick, now is autistic."

Trump was LOUD and LONG on how the decision to bring ebola patieints to the USA was an Obama heinous assault on America.

The CDC said it was important.

Who will Trump believe THIS time???

    Will he believe the CDC?

Will he make SURE that all who the CDC believes should be vaccinated will have access to vaccinations?

There is a cost to American health in having an anti-science team in the White House.

There are times the Trump White House is hysterically funny.

The confused and incompetent politician didn't seem to understand he was in charge. “I’m leading the task force,” Pence said today. “We’ll continue to rely on the secretary’s (HHS Sec't Alex Azar) role as chairman of the task force and the leader of Health and Human Services.”

Trump said Pence had a "talent certain for this" while praising Pence's handling of health crises during his time as Indiana governor. "Look at the Indiana model, they have been very successful there.” Trump said he is “using Mike because he’s very good at doing what he does."

Pence wrote in an op-ed back in 2000. "Despite the hysteria from the political class and the media, smoking doesn't kill."

That statement may have something to do with the fact that Pence’s now-defunct family business, Kiel Bros. Oil, operated a chain of more than 200 cigarette and gasoline convenience stores. Pence’s financial disclosures from 2000 to 2003 noted six-figure holdings and at least $15,000 in annual income from the company. The stores, which operated under the name “Tobacco Road,” closed in 2004.

Pence received an estimated at least $13,000 in contributions from the political action committees for Brown & Williamson, Philip Morris, R.J. Reynolds, and US Tobacco. Over his time in Congress, he would receive at least $39,000 from R.J. Reynolds and more than $60,000 from the National Association of Convenience Stores. Mike Pence, cigarette truther – ThinkProgress

In other words, Pence is just another political hack, just the kind of person Trump would appoint to head off a pandemic.

Heading up the scientific study of covid-19 is man who consistently rejects science. From 'Smoking Doesn't Kill' to Conversion Therapy—Mike Pence's Most Controversial Science Remarks

Trump can sure pick 'em. I told you this was going to be funny. In the face of such breathtaking incompetence by two men who have no idea what they are doing, all one can do is laugh.

Because Trump ordered a retreat in Syria, hundreds of our allies who were responsible for taking down the ISIS caliphate were killed. Thousands more were forced to leave their homes.

Because Trump ordered the assassination of an Iranian general who was quickly replaced, hundreds of American troops were wounded, and some suffered permanent brain loss.

Now because of Trump's incompetence it is certainly possible that many Americans will die of the covid-19 virus. He can't even appoint an expert to take charge of the approaching pandemic. He has to make the entire crisis political. The White House moved to tighten control of covid-19 messaging by government health officials and scientists, directing them to go through the office of Trump's pet sycophant, Mike Pence.

Instead of being concerned about the eminent invasion of covid-19, Trump is concerned about the political fallout of the crisis. Ironically, it is his remarkably mindless decisions and statements that conflict with medical experts that is causing the political fallout.

Trump has always been his own worst enemy.

Bringing Ebola patients here was a bad idea. Again the two are different. Neither Trump nor Pence are anti science just anti bad science and bad ideas.

A 16-year-old girl died in Biloxi yesterday.

She had some weed. Five other teenagers conspired to take her weed from her, which they did, and shot her, and she died on the operating table.

Drugs kill people. But of course, this has nothing to with the Chinese corona virus.

lol - I think you should look at what science says.

And, if you can find a justification for calling that "hystria", please give it a try.

You're right, course Trump fired the people that do that job in 2018, and cut funding biggly to the cdc, now he is scrambling

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-fire-pandemic-team/

"The Trump administration fired the U.S. pandemic response team in 2018 to cut costs."

Obama did not just fire the Pandemic response team like Trump did, they still depended on the experts, that is the difference

we would not have the oxygen we do today if not for bacteria in the past that released trace amounts - it's the numbers of people doing it repeatedly over time that add up, if only a trace amount of people did it, not a problem, but if everyone does it a trace amount repeatedly over time, it can become a problem
