Maria Bartiromo will let Trump spout his unpatriotic propaganda: the January 6 riot was peaceful, the FBI (and perhaps even Democrats) had a role in organizing it.

And then they pity poor Ashli Babbit, a wonderful woman.... who was there illegally and was about to break through a barricade of furniture that the Capitol Police had erected to protect elected officials who were being evacuated.

Among Trumpist, we defend the police until we riot to overthrow an elected President.

Call me when she gets 3 funerals, statues, riots in her name, Congress kneeling at the capital, and the VP calling her a hero. By any chance did her family get invited to the White House?

 

What should happen to people who actively and physically threaten members of congress? Should she have been allowed in, like the rest of the tourists who would follow? Should the chats of "hang mike pence" have been ignored as rhetoric? After she was shot, did more people try to crawl through that broken window, or did they all scatter - knowing what fate was waiting for them?

If this had been a BLM protest/riot, and there were threatening individuals trying to climb through a broken window and there were members of congress on the other side, would the right have supported shooting them? If she had broken a window in your home and was climbing in, what would the gun owners here have done? What if she had been chanting that she wanted to kill you prior to entering your home?

What is the role/responsibility of capitol police and other security assigned to guarding and protecting congress? Why do they have guns? When is it right for them to use those guns?

 

All of this will happen if Trump is re-elected.

I have no idea whether she was wonderful or not. I do know she made a horrible mistake and paid for it with her life. And, we may always wonder whether or not Trump had asked they stay out of the Capitol Building, if she'd still be alive.

Former President Donald Trump suggested Sunday that the U.S. Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol was the "head of security" for a "high-ranking" Democratic member of Congress.

That is false, according to a senior law enforcement official briefed on the matter.

The official said the officer who shot Babbitt, 35, was not a member of a security detail provided to a specific member of Congress, adding that the officer has not yet returned to duty.

Gotta love the Libs (NOT!), they made a national hero of a lifelong thug who died unnecessarily at the hands of the police (and I'm not here to discuss Chauvin) caught doing a stupid crime, yet a woman with no criminal record who died unnecessarily at the hands of the police caught UP in doing a stupid crime is vilified as scum of the earth. Does a trial by combat involve non lethal weapons? Are secret service and other officials hired to protect high ranking govt officials required to use non lethal weapons? Are you, as a gun owning citizen, required to use non lethal weapons to protect your home from an intruder who has chanted threats to you?

 

What was Babbitt doing on Capitol Hill that day?

Did she cross the barricades to go to the bathroom?

I don’t have any non lethal weapons other than my fists and a knife. That probably puts me at a disadvantage during a home robbery.

 

An unarmed petite female breaks a window and attempts to crawl into the Capitol and they shoot and kill her. That's fine with the politicians and MSM. You burn down, loot businesses, set police cars on fire, and the police are told by the liberal leaders to "stand down". The MSM calls it a "mostly peaceful" demonstration. Good example of a double standard. Me thinks Lady Justice is peeping from her blindfold.

 

If Floyd had charged at Chauvin, spewing death threats, I would have supported him being shot.

 

If I had a gun and someone threated my life and broke through a window of my home, I'd shoot them.

 

So would I -- but you are talking apples and oranges. In the case of Jan 6 there were dozens of trained police who confronted the rioters. Only one officer fired his weapon. Anyone know his name?
