So all you medical experts that think masks are a waste of time feel that doctors and medically trained people who have worn masks when around those with communicable diseases all of my life are just wasting time putting them on? I vehemently disagree!! Masks may not prevent 100% of communicable disease transmission but they prevent a significant amount.

I don't know anything about Greene but Paul is the only member of congress that I respect. He has never said that vaccines do not work and should be ignored. He responded to a question about someone claiming to be unwilling to eat in a restaurant where people aren't masked. He said they should mind their own business because unvaccinated people are not a threat to vaccinated people. Now that we have a vaccine resistant strain of the virus that isn't even true any longer. Here are some truths for you.

The new delta strain which has replaced the original virus is resistant to the vaccines. So vaccinated people can be infected just like unvaccinated people. This isn't an opinion. It is real. There is a belief that vaccinations can mitigate the severity of the delta infection but that hasn't had a clinical trial. So the vaccine may help most infected people avoid hospitalization and/or death. I say may, not will. So the vaccines have been become less effective in a big way. This won't end. Every new vaccine will be affected by future mutations of covid. We see this every year with influenza. I recommend people get vaccinated because there is a chance that, despite not being able to prevent infection, may make the infection less severe. For vaccinated people to be concerned about unvaccinated people is silly with the delta strain. Period.

The kinds of masks that people use made out of porous paper or fabric do not prevent transmission of the virus at all. Ask your doctor if you don't believe me. The N95 respirators properly sealed can contain the virus (can, not will) but that isn't what people use. People use ineffective masks. So mask mandates are silly. Pointless, ridiculous. If you want to have a mandate for N95 respirators then that would make some sense. Government isn't looking out for you. It is looking out for itself. Consult your own doctor. He or she actually practices medicine and can give you an honest answer.

Covid isn't going away any more than any other corona virus goes away. All the corona viruses are still with us. Think of it as a super flu with high contagion. Treat it as such. That is actually what it is. Go get vaccinated. It might save your life.

 

We can go round and round on this topic. COVID spreads just fine among the masked and vaccinated community. Delta, and now Lambda are proving it.

 

The opposite is true. The kinds of masks you wear can prevent bacterial transmission. They can't prevent viral transmissions. Only a properly sealed N95 respirator can do that. Can, not necessarily will.

 

Do you know how many people that are vaccinated have had breakthrough cases and died or been hospitalized?..

 

A valid point. Nobody knows, because many vaccinated people are carrying and transmitting COVID and never get tested.

 

Plus CDC quit monitoring vaccinated breakthrough cases in May.... so the garbage the president and others that it is only unvaccinated causing the problem is because they are only monitoring the unvaccinated... ""identifying and investigating only hospitalized or fatal cases due to any cause"" .... The president told a bald faced lie when he said ""If you're vaccinated, you're not going to be hospitalized, you're not going to be in the ICU unit and you're not going to die."

It's going to be really bad when we learn the actual percentage of mRNA vaccines that did NOT stay localized in the deltoid muscles and went on to attack organs and form cancers. Some of this is already emerging, but like any other medical trial, the long term effects - by definition - take a long time to see.

And Lambda is here now, so they'll push a vaccine booster. Before long, it won't be enough to have had the initial vaccine. You'll have to have the booster, too. Or no food for you.
Which, will result in more deaths and long term cancer creation.

The Dirty Donald administration had nothing to do with the development of the vaccines, they just happened to be the one in the White House when the virus showed up. There is nothing wrong with the Moderna or Pfizer, vaccines vaccines are never 100% effective for everyone injected. Both companies have made billions off the vaccine which was their incentive.
